  1. Please note that being able to name that from the top of my head is in no way an endorsement of whatever those buggers did during the war.

Or on the web site for that matter...

Speaks a lot for France when you could recognize ANY Frogs who fought for the Germans.

I am NOT and will not ask for cool points for that answer.

    Young Hiram, let see:

Hiram high-born. (1.) Generally "Huram," one of the sons of Bela (1 Chr. 8:5). (2.) Also "Huram" and "Horam," king of Tyre. He entered into an alliance with David, and assisted him in building his palace by sending him able workmen, and also cedar-trees and fir-trees from Lebanon (2 Sam. 5:11; 1 Chr. 14:1). After the death of David he entered into a similar alliance with Solomon, and assisted him greatly in building the temple (1 Kings 5:1; 9:11; 2 Chr. 2:3). He also took part in Solomon's traffic to the Eastern Seas (1 Kings 9:27; 10:11; 2 Chr. 8:18; 9:10). (3.) The "master workman" whom Hiram sent to Solomon. He was the son of a widow of Dan, and of a Tyrian father. In 2 Chr. 2:13 "Huram my father" should be Huram Abi, the word "Abi" (rendered here "my father") being regarded as a proper name, or it may perhaps be a title of distinction given to Huram, and equivalent to "master." (Comp. 1 Kings 7:14; 2 Chr. 4:16.) He cast the magnificent brazen works for Solomon's temple in clay-beds in the valley of Jordan, between Succoth and Zarthan.

  9. A new trend in the Thread...

I would like to thank Andreas for being German.

I know it is quite an underachievement but it's cool to have someone to kick when you don't feel like being rude to the dogs.

If it weren't for the likes of GerbilPloy we would all be playing Napoleonics and nobody wants to learn about french warfare.

    Thanks then...

    Oh the Joy of Electricity.

Mary Shelley would be proud of me...

After much phone calls, threats and even a friggin' spousing proposal to one of the ladies of the help desk, ADSL is back online here in Paris.

For all of you too buggered to check on your maps, Paris is (sort of) in France which ({to date}) makes it French.

The cheeky bastards had unplugged the bloody dunno the name and most of us Parisians were ADSLless since thursday.

So now you elders and wannabes alike, start to number your thingies for I will deal with you as is my trademark (quite inefficiently but with panache) and will send some turns back in the evening (Marcel Time).

  12. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Hey Frenchie,

Tell the boys I said bonjour. I ended up on a ship in the Arctic instead of down at the south pole (You French are more resilliant than they make you out to be). Hope all is going well. I have access to a decent connection for the next 6 hours so if you get this (What time is it over there?) then send me the archived Pool, I'm out of reading material and the only things left are Finnish Playboys, romance novels and geological journals.

I'd say the guy is bored to Death.

He is so ****ing out of his mind that he is mailing ME out of all the possibilities.

So send me any taunts, insults, turns and assorted drawings so that I could forward all to him and let the bugger partake in our festivities.

  13. They did CB, they did.

Obviously it's some sort of Easter Eggs.

Or maybe they were playing in God Mode or whatever.

My best bet is that they did the same cover for BOTH CMBO and Sudden Clickfest.

    Should explain the paratroopers.

  16. Hi all.

Deanco, using a French keyboard also I can tell that IS really a poor choice for a key.

Since not ONLY do we need to do the AltGr+7 THEN we need to do SPACE or whatever else to have the first character inputed.

Took me an entire setup to find the key.

    After 2 minutes I surrendered...

    ;)

Seriously BTS, the 0 of the NumPad or just one of the not used International keys like Right or Left Ctrl would be neat.

As it is I find it more convinient to Alt+Tab and do my tauntings in an ICQ chat window.

  17. Let it be known that I just completed my very first TCP/IP game.

Was an AutoBuy QB and I ended up with 100% grunts (cannucks).

I was kicked up to and including a whooping 96 to 4.

A chance the guy was not a Pooler.

    Speaking of which.

Senility and I finished our game and it was the now mandatory DRAW.

So I guess if I'm to experience humiliation, I'd have to continue playing that friggin IP mess.

  18. Well, I for one am a great fan of those buildings of his.

Every time I put the others I can't help but get back to Magua's.

So, I'd like to have those in HiResed and whatever else he might be doing.

Not fun when talented people are "Gunslingered" (do a terrific job and drop out of touch)..
