1. CMHQ under CMMOS MODs. Nice work by Gordon Molek as usual... Goes well with that soon to be released D-Day MOD by Clubfoot.
 2. There might be something in the way of Teasers. MODs you've heard of. Others that will catch you with your pants down. Articles. The usual things one would expect for an update even if it was made by a Frog... As long as you're not Swiss, enjoy the visit.
 3. CombatFrance will be distributing the same offer for the French market. If you go take a look at their site (in French) you'll see that in Screen shots, those are not all stock textures but MODed ones. I'd say Tiger's work for most of them... If they were to MOD some part, it's strange they had kept the brighter part of the game. Due to release this month. Personally, I wouldn't trade my MODed BMP folder for what's coming on that CD. We're not missing much. Now prepare for the same kind of things which happened for Counter Strike when they released the Retail box some time after the Net version. N00bs, thousands of n00bs and hackers. It's time to BUMP the FAQs.
 4. Tough crowd... Now I can attest as most of the Forum would that sometimes, the Bald Bouncer does bounce with quite a spring. But I can testify he never said somefink like, "Be tough or be gone". When you publish something, you do it for yourself and, because MODers are like that, for the appraisal of your fellow CMers. That's why it always peeves a MODer when Sneaks are posted and that the only feedback received goes along the line of: "What grass are you using in the background?". Posting something, whatever it could be, MODs, Sounds, Scenarios, is akin to ask people's feedback. Some are nice, some are way out of the line. As was the case for Tiger back then. What Madmatt said was more like this: If you can't stomach having people criticizing or tweaking your work, then don't post it. That's the Internet. I use Scipio's sounds and value his contributions towards the gaming Community. It's his choice and whatever the reasons, I hope he'll be happy with it MODing for some other games. Farewell...
 5. True. An other thing. Third Party MODers decide what MODs they want to work on. The ones they have info or pics to work from. And so on. It's a luxury noone at BTS had. Only thing they could have done differently if you do remember the HUGE debate opposing the partisans of Bright against those of Subdued, is to have been a tad less joyful with the Brightness Slider. That goes within time constraints, when you do a full range of MODs it does not take longer to apply setting A than B... And I'm with you 100%, I'd rather play an unMODed CMBO than some creepy other wargames.
 6. It's a great Tool and a Grand addition to the game. BTS should licence it and put it in CMBB. Now I'm glad there are sites like CMHQ whose dedication allow us to enjoy those CMMOS MODs. Thanks to all concerned.
 7. That's why it can only be called a test. BTW dear Elvis, have you received any eMails about numbering turns as per instructed here? MODs & MODers
 8. Thanks Hiram. Some of you will receive the Ultra Secret URL where all the pics are hidden.
 9. Here goes: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/pawbroon/TestCompteurs.htm It's some of those stupid counters I wish to test. So I have put those 2 on the same test page and if a few of you click on the link above, then I'll see how each of them deal with the results. Just click on the link and then you're done. Sorry for intruding...
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by mPisi: Still pining for the pretty trees...

Trees are done. You just don't know where to look... http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=023291
 11. There is also the matter of that strange German guy who keeps on stalking me with his Sneak Previews. Evidence 1:
 12.
quote:
Originally posted by MikeyD: Not to be unkind, but wrong rear engine deck.

I'll pass along the comment. That's why those are called Work In Progress. If you have info or pics be sure to send them to Marco or to me so that I could forward them.
 13.
quote:
Originally posted by Diceman: Puurdee tank yoose got thair Marco. Keep up the wonderful work.

Thanks for him. And BUMP to where Marco's MODs should be...
 14. Oh boy! The speed and dedication which were a Trade Mark of Manx's Combat Mission is now perceptible in his newe surroundings. I'm glad you're on top of it Manx... And Andrew, I shouldn't say it really, but that MOD is grand. Now I bet that ultra secret HT would be a walk in the park with all its flat panels...
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Michael Dorosh: Well, PawBroon, what about it?

It's Manx's idea and tool. He isn't AWOL nor has he dropped the gloves. Best guesstimate is that either the work load at CMHQ is overwhelming (he should start from scratch and do as his previous site was really) or that Real Life has intruded. That list was one of the many, and I mean MANY, things that made Manx's site a jewel CM site amongst his peer and far superior to any "Officially Sponsored" sites. So to keep it short, if that list is to fall years behind in overhaul, I'll take over. But quite frankly I trust Manx and it wouldn't surprise me that CMHQ strikes back with a vengeance. If not now, then at least CMBB will do that to it. So far CMHQ has become a FTP site. A common Hard Disk. People post direct links to folder, skipping what ever work the guys there have put in the site. MODs are hosted without so much of a pic or a description. But still, I think it to be temporary. MODs & MODers is to be a catalogue of MODs that are and of those that will. So far the only links are to sites, not files. If I was to link directly to files or to manage such a list against Manx's willingness, then it would devoid my site of its purpose. To be a Complementary tool. I do not believe in stepping on other people's toes. In a near future, because I'm working fast on it, all MODs would have been reviewed. That's like a list really. It will be presented like a summary or a list anyway (Sorted by MODs and by MODers). Manx would host them and direct MOD Sluts to where they would be while I would have simply provided a visual aid to know what's in that said list. Said it on an above post, I want to give back to the Community a set of tools which were taken away from them. Not take over the whole CM Sites business. Glad you are having Faith in me. 16. Of course that pic has been doctored. No Jeep MG can throw such a punch. If memory serves me, it's Old Dog or DesertFox grass BTW...
 17. You mean I wasn't fair to you when I reviewed those Churchills? Sheesh.
 18. So you understood?! When I first contributed to CM Outpost, I considered it to be the best CM site around. The only thing which was lacking in my view was a vertical reviewing of a complete range of MODs. That's what I pioneered when I did the Hetzers. Since then I have said to many MODers that the apparent demise of CM Outpost and its comparison shots, plus the AWOLness of Old Dog's CM Central and its sneak previews was a serious blow to the MODing Community and a missing tool for the MODs Sluts. That's what I aim to provide to the best of my meager abilities. Reviews. Sneaks. Stupid French jokes... And since it's called MODs AND MODers, and in order to give it a MODer's Touch, there are and will be articles about MODing. That's all. Now go tell MARCO how nice his work is. I am just the one posting the pics here...
 19. This week pic is Marco Bergman's Achilles. While still a Work In Progress, the quality of this MOD is amazing. Here is a screen shot for you while we are waiting for its release: So much talent can only be rewarded by some feedback. Thank you then for your hard work and dedication Marco...
 20.
quote:
Originally posted by Manx: Ahhh..everythings sooo much clearer now. Thanks!

I aim to please... There would be hope if some of you were willing to use the stupid Feedback button. [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: PawBroon ]

 21.
quote:
Originally posted by AndrewTF: PawBroon to whom this mod is dedicated because of his kind assistance on getting me good Daimler photos and research material. ... I'm having a hard time figuring out what his web site is all about.

Now that is very nice of you to think of dedicated that piece of Art to me Andrew. Concerning your ultra secret next MOD, I have even MORE quality shots and drawings of the same kind you received for the Daimler. I was to start of those after the Pershing. Seeing as you do better than me I think I'll do just like for the Daimler and let you proceed. Keep me posted on your needs... As for my site, I'm glad you like it even though it seems to be the latest rage around to say nobody understand what it's all about. It's simple. So, once again. You needed to read sequentially all of the items once it was released. Then two days after that, what was NEWS became ABOUT and what was INCOMING turned into NEWS. Then I changed it again to put some NEWS in NEWS and be done. See? Now you have to read it all over again but this time in a random order. Should you need more info or a walktrough, I have this gigantic Visio diagram that I can post on my site. [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: PawBroon ]

 22. Glad you like it. And nice of you to thank those who made it possible...
 23. I'm still in my pre coffee, before 6AM, Sunday mood. Wait till I understand what chortling is and meanwhile consider it to be okayish. Would that chortle be gleeful or snorty? Damn it's still too early to discuss about sparrows speed!! [Edited because I'm worth it] [ 01-27-2002: Message edited by: PawBroon ]
