Hi Wildman, It is a spare piece of track. Many tanks back then (and today) carry them anywhere they can put them. They also serve as a little added protection vs. HEAT rounds. ------------------ Jeff Newell TankDawg

HI Cavguy, Welcome to CM. Good post. One point...I sure wish the Army was ahead of the curve with anti-missile systems. The IR jamming is great, but other countries currently field many different and better ways to stop enemy ATGMS. I have directly asked the Armor Center Threat Group and even the CG (at the time, General Harmeyer) and they both totally dodged the question. do you have any further insight on this? Was just reading about "Teamsound" on the ASL mailing list. They said they tested it and it works well. Was wondering what CM gamers use, if at all, during TCP/IP games. Have to back up my fellow tanker, Mannheim on this one. Beleive me, if my 120mm goes 'tits up' while in battle, I will NOT be hunting. I will be backing out, hoping my wingman is covering me and popping smoke. Guys, try to think these things through. This is a game, and I wish when playing 'my soldiers' would be more brave, but they are based on real life soldiers that have one thing in mind - surviving the battle to get to the next day. ------------------ Jeff Newell TankDawg -

Well, just installed it. PC running really well. Other games look great. But..... When I go through my video options set up for CM, CM crashes and I get: "Program Error Could Not Initialize Direct3D Graphics" I can play the game in 640x800, but the whole reason I got the card was to run it in higher resolutions. I just saw that BTS was 100% sure that they put the new Sherman Jumbo Stats in 1.1 only to find out that they did not. I wonder if the AI that is supposed to move units AWAY from the enemy into cover also somehow did not make the cut despite their best efforts. ------------------ Jeff Newell TankDawg
