  1. Started new thread on this: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=004305
  2. Hi Guys, COntinuing our previous discussion, I have narrowed it down to TWO notebooks. One has 32mb Seperate Video Memory One has 64mb Shared Video Memory Both are ATI Mobility. I want to play CMAK and some new first person shooters that demand good graphics. Advice??? THanks!
  3. Thanks for such a thorough reply! It was really helpful. Am currently considering both the HP Pavilion Notebook PC with Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 2.66GHz and some Toshibas. Thanks again,
  4. Hi Guys, Getting ready to purchase a laptop to take with me to Iraq. I lot of the newest ones come with integrated video memory built right into the motherboard. I know ATI and nVidia stuff pretty well, but not sure what TOshiba, Compaq and others are using for this 'integrated' video memory. Any 'dos' and 'dont's' that I should know of? Thanks in Advance,
  5. As far as the video card is concerned? I ask because I was willing to give up FOG by going to a Radeon, but if dust wont work with it either, I might have to stick with nVidia.
  6. Andre, Video card will not matter, I will still beat you majority of time. PS - Just found a 9600 with 256mb for $174. I think I am going to leave the nVidia family once and for all.
  7. I am upgrading my video card. I am limiting my search to nvidia cards simply because of the fog issue with CMBB. Yet, I probably play 1 fog scenario a year if that. I play about 6 other games that would be fine on a Radeon card. In addition, I am reading that Microsoft chose ATI over Nvidia for Xbox 2 and that Nvidia may not even be around in years to come. Should i stick with nvidia? Should i say 'the hell with fog?" I am stupid?
  8. "Blackhorse?!" who the hell is Blackhorse? Didn't he used to post here all the time and start at least 4 games with TankDawg that were never to be finished? Hi Sir. Looks like you got a promotion. congrats! that is great!
  9. HI Guys, did not get 1st, but did get 2nd edition. I like it and look forward to fully reading it. But, lets talk here - My car is in shop. It is worked on. I pay bill. Drive it home but it is not fixed. Shop offers to fix it for free. But it is not free, since I already paid for something that I did not receive fair value for. I am grateful for their attitude, but will be more grateful after it is fixed. Second time around, they fix some of the problems, but not all. I did not have to pay more, but still have not recieved value for what I paid. I will go to new repair shop next time. (Now, don't worry, I will never leave the guys at BattleFront, but some of you are a little 'out there' with how great the 'free' 2nd edition is) [ June 03, 2003, 02:24 PM: Message edited by: TankDawg ]
  10. Let me be the first to say: WOW! WOW! WOW!! Only 7 more months of having to play east front before I can return to my favorite sides of the war!!! This looks awesome!!!!
  11. Hi Robb, LOL. I hate that game we are playing. Total BS Map and too many forces. Feel like the map was made for a FPS not CMBB. But I DO like KVs and T-34s vs. Pz IVs and Pz IIIs. That part is fun.
  12. Hi Guys, I thought this was not available yet. But when I tried to order it, the web site says it is unknown as to when it will be BACK in stock. Was it released? Was it any good? Will buy either way when and if they allow you to order it again. thanks,
  13. Holy ****! Beautiful Database! Great job. thanks! Kind of funny, I have not seen or used Filemaker since 1993 and it looks pretty much the same as I remember it. Thanks again,
  14. Has anything come of this? WOuld love a western-front mod set for CMBB.
  15. In one of the versions, you could implement all the mods you liked, and then 'save' them. YOu could have several different sets of mods, including BTS default. (Am I making sense here?) I cant seem to find this feature in the newest CMMOS - is it there? I see a couple tiles for "BTS Default" but not for everything? I want to be able to revert to default if i pick an ugly terrain mod or set. A little help?
