Guys,
Having played both against the AI and via PBEM, I can tell you I agree that a replay feature would be nice. However, not having that feature is hardly a game killer. Since there is a relatively small number of units on the map (compared to a game like TOAW) even at the peak of the war, it really is not all that hard to determine what happened during the enemy's previous turn.

Hubert,Originally posted by Hubert Cater:Yup, sounds like a very good idea. Honest thing is that time is critical as you can imagine, but if anyone has the time to send me a complete catergorized list of all naval/air/land units at this scale for all countries that were used in the European Theater I just might have the chance to squeeze it in, but of course the standard disclaimer of no promises just in case I can't
Email me (tedquincey@yahoo.com) a list of what you need and I'll see what I can do.

Bill,Originally posted by Bill Macon:Terrain modifiers. Still not sure if we get any by default, other than higher entrenchments which you have to wait for. Should get at least +1 in forests and behind rivers, +2 in fortresses and cities, etc. Either clarify or fix.
The differences in terrain are found in their maximum entrenchment values:
Fortification----------8
Capital City-----------6
City/Mountain/Forest---4
Open/Mine/Oil Field----2
River/Marsh------------0
That's it. Sorry.

PB,Originally posted by PawBroon:Well considering Emma loves football as much as I drool when I'm enlisted in a game of Snooker, I can say it's not that.
She's coming to visit here in Paris.
That's what the countdown is for...
Ah, I see. She's looking forward to the visit, then?

Jeff,
Initial percentages can be changed, but triggers cannot.Originally posted by Jeff Heidman:Can you chang entry conditions?
Nope.Movement parameters?
Nope.Combat parameters?
Nope.Supply?
NopeX2.Readiness? Not just the starting numbers, but how they get updated?
Something like that, but with more options.Or will it strictly be a "park units in different spots" kind of editor?
Maybe, but a problem arises from changing core rules like movement and combat. Namely, how can two players play a campaign if only one has the "new" rules? The only logical solution would be for both players to use the same rules. It would be *awesome* if it allows players to change some of the fundamental parameters in order to tweak different things.
This, as has been demonstrated in the Close Combat world, leads to a fragmentaion of the community. There will be some players using the "Armor Can Move 100 Hexes" rule while others will prefer to use the "Subs Are Invisible" rules. Because SC caters (think about how funny that word is here ) to a niche market, fragmentation is the last thing it needs.
Nope. The latter. Is there any kind of Event engine? For example, is the creation of Vichy France an event that can be modified, or is it hard coded into the game?

Straha,
Shouldn't you be changing the course of rivers instead of feeding trolls?

Galatine,Originally posted by Galatine:Then again, if the makers aren't even open to the possibilty this game needs a _drastic_ overhaul, I have a feeling you're going to hear about them from many others very soon.
I have no problem with you expressing your opinion here. As a matter of fact, I applaud it and hope you will share more.
However, I do have a question for you. The comment I quoted above seems to run counter to what you said only four days ago. On May 22, you said, "Thanks for the word Hubert! It's good to know right off the bat that you guys are open and active regarding input." To refresh your memory, that quote is from this thread. Am I to assume your opinion about Hubert's responsiveness to input has changed? If so, could you please elaborate?
I am not asking this to be confrontational. Rather, I am hoping you can share some useful information that could improve the game and the community.
Thank you.

BB,Originally posted by BloodyBucket:I have pro-allied coups in Yugoslavia all the time. In fact, if they ever go pro-Axis, I'll probably attack them out of reflex.
They do go Axis, but it only lasts a day. Since the time scale is 1-4 weeks, you have to watch very closely to catch it...

RL,Originally posted by R_Leete:Hey, I'm closer, and have a fully stocked bar and fridge. And I have two computers connected, so we can play without having to hotseat. What more do you need?
Good points all around.
I suppose we could just split the difference and meet at Hubert's house. It's about halfway between us, if we fly.

CC,Originally posted by Cpl Carrot:Well Ted I'm not sure what to say. You played with them before I did.....
Yes, that's why I'm handing them over to you now. I think they're broken...

Hey, quit picking on the old farts! They did fine when I used them. As a matter of fact, I remember their counterattack going quite well when the scenario finally ended.

Great stuff, guys! I especially like this:
"It is roughly at this point that the Canadian commander realises the significance of the ‘Long & Short’ battle name. So it’s long-range superiority vs short-range firepower."
