  1. Hey Juju, I was replaying CE in Gold Edition as US. Over ran the hill on left as well as overrunning several german squads in the woods. They were laying prone surrounded by US and as they stood up to surrender one of them threw a grenade at my US squad. Guess we need to shake down all prisoners or shoot them on the spot.
  2. I'm getting a snapping and hissing sound in the background just before the artillery track starts. It reoccures and cycles throughout the game. It is kind of like a scratchy LP. Just a little annoying but not enough to turn the sounds off. I'm running this on a G4 400 with video card and 192 megs RAM.
  3. Himmel Herr Gott! Ya das var Grossartig! Great Job!
  4. Just a thought. If the game comes out next weekend, Steve is gonna piss a lot of ladies off here in the US and Canada. Next weekend is Mothersday and I can see a lot of people jumping into the game and neglecting thier wives and mothers. OUCH!!
  5. Hey Juju Try the list at Patherworks http://www.pantherworks.com/playerlist.asp Or you can send me a file, your choice scenerio and side. Find my e-mail in the profiles.
  6. Darn, you guys trashed the page and now it's gone. It was there this morning.
  7. Check out the thread titled Printing Scenario Results on this page, there is a current discussion there.
  8. Mostro - Don't know what a safe distance is but I have a hero - Obg. Fink who took out a Sherman at 191 meters with a Panzerschreck in CE. Wow what a shot.
  9. Untill that feature is implemented, you might try taking a screen shot of the after action report. On a Mac it is Command - Shift - 4.
  10. Nice site, I'll be back for more...and thanks for the Mac support.
  11. It's all balance. My wife doesn't mind an off night that I can ignore her. She spends enough time on the phone to compensate. PeterNZ and I have published a movie and some how I have convinced her, that somewhere in there is a money making activity, if only my talents are discovered. I choose very carefully the time I devote to the game. Usually weekend mornings before anyone is up. Occassionally I play a game or two during work, while my boss is away...waite a minute, I'm self emoployed so that doesn't count. Why do I play? It's a diversion. It keeps me off the streets, out of trouble and I'm not in front of the tube. What do I give up? Nothing! If it wasn't for this great game I'd diverting somewhere else. That's it! Over and Out.
  12. freelancal - comes from my company name Free-Lanc-Alot, (Lanc is pronounced lance). I'm a freelance graphics designer and when it came to naming my company it was a choice between Freelance-Aholic or Freelance-Alot. Free Lanc Alot won out.
  13. I'd like to add, that one of the fun parts to the film is figuring out which scene comes from which scenerio, we've mixed them up for visual impact. It was a lot of fun doing it so all you sandlot army playing video buffs may want to give this a try yourselves.
  14. For Official Release: Combat Vision: A cooperative effort of Combat Mission fans bringing fan-made movies and films from CM to the public. 15. I'm 43 and never even heard of Avalon Hill, I guess I spent to many years over seas
  16. DO IT NOW!! We've been waiting for to long, drooling with anticipation of those cool textures. Don't tease us any more. And of course don't forget about us Mac users.
  17. micheal, Try using Zip It to compress the file first before sending. It is a free or shareware utility. If you can access the file with simple text, open it, find the line that reads - ----------------- Play-By-Email Data Follows This Line ----------------- and deleat everything above that line and resave it out as a text file withe the name of PBEM File.
  18. On another line, how long do pbem games usually take, and is there an opponents registry or something? I'v e found that PBEM games last about half of what an AI game takes. My guess is that the AI just doesn't know when to give up, where as an opponent can see the hand writing on the wall. I've found an opponents registry at http://www.pantherworks.com/playerlist.asp you just need to make sure your opponent is registered there so that your points are tallied.
  19. I hate Lt. Himmelweit, that lilly livered German 105mm Spotter that runs away the first time he get's a bullet wizzing past his helmet. I've played him in CE PBEM 3 times and not once has he had the backbone to call in artillary. I've had his CO almost lay down on top of him to keep him from running off. I've had his CO escort him at gun point back up to the front to call in artillary, and have him sit there with a ten minute lag time. Is there a way I can frag him, send him to the stockades or have him replaced by his sister? Is this a bug or are these cowardice personallity traits built into each unit?
  20. To bad, your not on a Mac. All you'ld need is to hit Command + Option + 3 for the whole screen or Command + Option + 4 to drag across the area you needed. It's part of the OS.
  21. Playing PBEM is fairly simple, although it seems confusing at times as to when you can place orders and when you can watch the movie. Sometimes you do one or the other, sometimes you do both. A good link for trouble shooting is Colin's page - http://cm4mac.tripod.com/emailfix.html Also a good place to find opponents is - http://www.pantherworks.com/playerlist.asp If that doesn't get you started, e-mail me with which side you'ld want to play and which scenerio.
  22. Yuk, Yuk! Aim high Peter, that's my special Luftwaffe MG unit you're shooting at. Sure wished I had another one on top of the hill!
