I read that as, "Maybe, when were done with CM2, the new CMII engine, CM3 AND CM4,
Then maybe we'll look into it.
In other words, there's no plans for one.
Just my enterpretation.

I can see no point to this refueling thing. I quite literally leave my CM CD in the reader for weeks on end as it is. I play a game almost every day too.
Just another thing BTS doesn't need to waste time on IMHO.

It will not be in CM2. It is something they are hoping to do for CMII, which is the complete re-write of the game engine.

Cavlary on the Eastern Front is a tough one for us. As Los pointed out, they were used fairly frequently in terms of number of times in battle. Overall, they weren't that common. Or more exactly, there are far more situations to simulate that did not involve cavalry forces than did. And for that reason mounted cavalry (as opposed to dismounted) is on the back burner. There is a LOT to do for the Eastern Front, and in the Big Picture™ mounted cavalry is down on the list of important things to do.

Sorry mate. You won't be seeing any of that. This is a very minor patch coming up. There are no new units or tiles being added to CM anymore.

Infantry in CM don't run out of ammo as it is now. They go to the "low" setting.
I don't see the problem right now with crews or spotters as it is now. They have virtually no combat ability as it is.

It's nice that you are so sure it will only take 1 month. But somehow I think BTS knows better.
Oh, and no. Im not an East Front guy at all. Hell I don't know squat about the East front. I am enjoying the hell out of CM right now. I play just about every night.

Don't get me wrong, I too would think it "cool" to have more vehicles, the M16 included.
But you have to ask yourself......who would put this pack together? Charles is THE programmer. As in, the only one last I checked. And since BTS has decided to get moving on CM2 and has the schedule "locked down" they're not going to suddenly go off on a tangent to go research all these oddball vehicles and spend months completing it at the cost of pushing CM2 back. Just not gonna happen. They have a business plan for a reason.
I am by no means a programmer, but it's my bet that an addon pack of vehicles is not something that they could just throw together in a month. Vehicles are hard coded into the engine. You can't just download an expansion pack and suddenly have them show up. Then you run into issues of PBEM problems. Some people would have these vehicles, others would not.
I think you're really out on a limb here and aren't seeing the forest for the trees. Doing some kind of addon pack is going to delay CM2. Simple as that. And they're just not going to do this.
You really need to let it go man!
Well, I guess you could be like Gunny Bunny and continue to ask for something that BTS has said won't be done. But that's probably a bad idea.

Yes, work on CMBO is basically done. We will keep an eye out for any serious bugs (not just "gee,I think this should be tweaked"), which we will fix, but other than that we are starting on CM2 very shortly. We are first going to figure out what exactly we are going to put into the thing, THEN we will actually start the coding and artwork.

Yes. And the answer is simply "CM2".
That's what they are working on now and nothing else. Steve has said in several posts that CM is a finished product. It's DONE. Other than minor patches for tweaks there will be no more additions.
My opinion: the M16 will not be 'discussed to death' until BTS produces the goods.
Well, you can have whatever opinion you want, but it doesn't change the fact that they're not going to add it.
