1. Sheesh, when I get the Panther it gets WAXED quickly. I get it up on the hill, let it hunt for the perfect hull down position.

    No matter.

In three games as Germans it's been waxed three times. Yes, it has always gotten at least one kill, but the speed of which it get dispatched by a lone Sherman at great distance is always frustrating. Twice it's been hits on the gun, another it was a hit in some "special place".

    Grrr.

Of course when playing the American's I have no such luck. :P

I think I figured it out.

Since I've only ever painted by brush before I didn't realise that my Humbrol paint was oil-based. Guess I need to put in some white spirit to mix it up a little and help uptake (or is this a serious no-no) ?

In my model building days I couldn't afford Humbrol!!! It was testers for me, and the

    Tamiya stuff I think.

Anyway, I simply mixed with regular old paint thinner and used it with my Pasche (sp?) airbrush. Worked great.

However, we translated the three Beta Demo scenarios into the new format back when we had the ability to do so (we batch processed all of them in one go). When you get the FULL version of the game you will find your old favorites installed on your harddrive, ready for duty!

  4. Re : Flamethrowers

I was DETERMINED to get my flame guy some action. I loaded him on a tank and using an 81m smoke barrage I outflanked the cement bunker on the left side. THe flame guy walked over to the bunker and fired off FOUR "rounds" at the thing. Nothing happened.

After he was done, there was no smoke, no remaining fire.

    ?????

Im confused. I thought that flame weapons used jellied fuel, and that it would continue to burn. THere was zero effect on the pill box. Finally I had the M4 blast it from the rear.

  5. From the Internet Movie Database -

"What is being described as "the most expensive film to be made in Europe" is set to begin shooting at the Potsdam-Babelsberg film studios in Berlin in January. The $85 million Enemy at the Gates (2000) stars Ed Harris, Jude Law and Joseph Fiennes in a saga about Germany's disastrous siege of Stalingrad during World War 2 in which the Germans lost 250,000 men in battle and had another 112,000 soldiers captured. French director 'Jean-Jacques Annaud' told todays' (Friday) London Daily Mirror, "I want to make this so realistic that you will think you were there."
