Hi, Starting from scratch on a PC and I want to buy CM Battle for Normandy with Commonwealth and be up to date with the latest patch/version. What exactly do I need to pay for / download for free? Thanks Mike

Mac Issue :Battlefront Please Read
KiloIndiaAlpha replied to KiloIndiaAlpha's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Pete, thanks for that but that's not really the problem. Yes, I can load other peoples mods but I can't create my own. I should have been more clear in my initial post. The issue is how, on a Mac, can I unpack, modify and then re-pack a brz file? Mike -
Mac Issue :Battlefront Please Read

It is http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=278&Itemid=461 scroll to the [bonus] section "Textures, sounds, and user interface graphics can be modified (modded) by players" Mike -
I have a major concern about the Mac version - it can't be modded. There are no tools (Rezexplode and Rezpack) for modding on the Mac. This only becomes know after buying the game. This fact is not advertised on the website. I feel annoyed and cheated by this. Will someone at Battlefront please let me know what can be done about it? Thanks Mike

Related to the 'Mac and Mods' post, what is the format of a .brz file? I'm guessing it's Battlefront proprietary.

So that's how to get to 20000+ posts without really contributing much. I knew, Michael, that you would not let me down. </font> -

CMSF is the usual outstanding piece of quality software/simulation/game that BF are rightly famous for. But... Wargaming for me is about history and not about simulating current and future operations. So, now that CMSF is 'out' , when will there be an historical title in the CM2 genre? Thanks Mike

Is it just me, or is it too quiet...

But if it is not being worked on then there is no point in creating a web site. -

This is a thirty second bomb... Look at the 'Computer Games Currently in Development' off the main Battlefront page. It lists four games as 'in development', CM:SF is not one of them. 29, 28, ... -
Any news on the release date for a demo. and the full version? Thanks Mike

US Army: long intersting "Economist" report
KiloIndiaAlpha replied to dieseltaylor's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
In my opinon the Brits are fundamentally more professional than their US counterparts. This is based on around ten years experience of trainng US and UK 3 and 4 star officers in joint and combined operations. And yes, I am a Brit. -
Mass (gamer) market appeal, and a poll of sorts
KiloIndiaAlpha replied to Dillweed's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I'm 46 or is it 47?... I can't remember... My eldest son is 6, so I have a real opportunity to instill in him my notion that games that require thought, effort and concentration are, ultimately, more enjoyable and satisfying than the 'one brain cell' games that are so prevalent these days. Mike -
Space Lobsters, When would people like it set.
KiloIndiaAlpha replied to Peter Cairns's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Starship Troopers. Base it on the book not the film.
