The Germans did use the 18 ton halftrack to tow damaged tanks infact they had to use three of these vehicles.There are detailed fotos of this in Spielbergers book about the Tigers But only in terrain which was captured and cleared of enemy resistance. Officially it was forbidden for tanks to tow other tanks because they could damage their motors with doing that. Later on in the war they developed special tanks for that purpose,Bergepanzers.

Although it is a good tank the T-90 was build from 1997 with a rate of some 20 to 30 vehicles a year.So I don't think it wil be 10 to 1 m1a2 The tank is much more expensive than the average t-72 or t-80.And because it is so expensive the Russians have build it mainly for export.The same goes for the Tunguska aa defensesystem. Indeed you are right about the armour it must be able to withstand APDFS rounds. It has a defense against atgm's like the Javelin too. Infact both vehicles are not included in the annual Military Technology issue regarding the inventory of the worlds armed forces. Henk

A vehicle that is very awefull and problably better than what NATO has is the Russian Krisantema ATGM vehicle. It is a third generation system and supposed to offer better ways of guiding together with supersonic flight and a range of up to 6 km. CV 90 is the newest Swedish IFV armed with a 40mm gun

I want that patch there was a need to drive over soldiers with your tank. It was easy and you could spare ammo. I last saw a piece of a stupid sf series when I was zapping around.Don't know the name of it. It was about a timetraveller who stopped the Germans from using a V2 missile with nuclear warhead.Another timetraveller has made the guidancesystem...... :c and was shot by the Germans after the failure of the testfiring. The missilles were called crosbows...???? Maybe that is the documentary are Preatorian child was talking about. To many striking simularities here??!!

From my experience I can recal that we used to connect the mines with a rope and hide them on the side of a road. Just stay in cover and when a tank came around pull them over the road. Very good plan especially in peacetime exercises. I don't know if I would have done that in wartime though.:C

Fion I have read your reply and I must react on them. One of the elite units of the waffen-ss was the 3rd division(Totenkopf) This division emerged out of the Totenkopfverbande. These were units responsible for the camps and they were under command of Eicke. They were responsible for the atrocities committed in Poland and France. Even when they were later in the war transformed into a panzerdivision,they kept close ties with the camps. The camps were their biggest source for supplies and were used as a place where wounded soldiers could rest. If you have read Soldiers of Destruction you know that there are numerous accounts that prove what I just wrote down is true There are even documents that showed there was a constant flow of men from the camps to frontunits and vice versa. Most of the men in these units were brainwashed to follow up all orders given. Eicke did this by letting his men beat up and torchure inmates on a regular bases infact men that refused were in some cases imprisoned or in some cases even shot. There were pretty tough and harsh rules about discipline and Eicke had a list of punishments for everything that was against the discipline or worse against the state. If I had been a soldier than I would probably to have followed up orders even if I had known what I know now.Does that make me a nazi to or is saving your own live more important at such a moment in your live. I don't think that the generations from after the war are responsible for what their fathers or grandfathers have done. Like panzeshark said before,my country has killed many people in its colonies even after ww2. My countrymen were the "best" in slavery. Infact all places where we have had interests in (U.S.),South AFrica,and some countries in asia) have racial problems. That in a way can be linked back to my Dutch ancestors. Should I feel sorry for that Or do I have to be ashamed for that? You could only blame the generations responcible for it and be carefull such things don't happen again. Even today among most of the youth in The Netherlands is a big hatred and misunderstanding about Germans. These feelings are caused by old sentiments and nationalist thinking and in most cases a lack of historical education. Many of these kids don't even know in what year our country was invaded by the Nazis. About anti us sentiments? SOme places still know a high degree of anti foreignersfeelings Most Germans did not like NATO soldiers in their country(and we were there to defend them in a certain way)they saw them as a sort of occupationforce.(in 1988,43 years after the war!) We had to be very carefull and were forbidden to speak with most people in the villages we came trough during exercises.And again I think that it is a natural reaction. thanks for the reply Philistine but someone else told me that to. I have done that allready and my system now has 85% left which is enough to play CM. I have not deleted the virusscan and two other programs. But there is memory enough left But thanks anyway.

I closed all applications and had 60% of my systems memory left. Still the game crashed after 5 turns. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Danno I have the same amd as you have and also directx7.0 a but with 64 ram. After 5 turns the game crashes notting works anymore. Are you sure an upgrade to 128 will solve this problem?
