  1. This was wrote in the CMBO Gold Demo days, but the COC mechanics are the same.
  2. Just put the Plt HQs out of command line as backup and the Coy HQs as actual COs. Presto! You got the bonuses.
  3. Nobody noticed this behaviours? C'mon, gimme a link...
  4. Sorry if this was already discussed, but I have no time to do a search, ok 1 - Pillboxes not firing seems to get out of LOS, even as close as 50 mts. This was in a PBEM with 1.01. I think my opponent may have the file if needed, as he was suffering it. I noticed something similar with 1.0, but as I was far from the PB, I thought that was normal. 2 - Strange behaviour of entrenched units under arty fire. I mean, is realistic that a unit under shelling will leave his Trench to risk to sneak back in the Open, Woods or Trees?. My gut feeling is that if you are being fired at with arty, you will try to dig a deeper hole for your poor soul. And a Trench is a good place to start digging. Unless, of course, that Trenches don't offer any improved protection against incoming arty.
  5. I can make so many easy word games that better I shut up Anyway, you will be interested in to know I will receive a list of data on Soviet arty done by Stefan Sheckells (many thanks) by the weekend.
  6. Roulette? That is evidently an uber-ouija board! You don't even need the FOs with that!
  7. Well, I can't found the paper... If I have some luck, I may have it in a Notebook I've borrowed to a friend. I was surprised for the statistics too, when I read it first. BTW, I was investigating how to make the rules for Airdrops for CMMC when I found that work.
  8. I used to have in my computer the exactly rundown of men and material lost in the Normandy jumping for the 82nd... But damned if I can found it now!!! Anyway, most of the statistcs I'm quoting from memory I've found in a paper on modern possibility of using gliders... I will try a search on the net.
  9. IIRC, the average casualty rate of all WWII airborne together, was something like 10 - 15% (if not less). So, don't abuse of the Casualy feature. More accurate will be to set all them as Half Squads, if possible. [ October 20, 2002, 10:12 AM: Message edited by: Ariel ]
  10. I think we are onto something: the real reason why the Germans take out the 50mm mortars from their TOE.
  11. Bumping it so I have it at hand when I go home.
  12. Thanks to everybody for the kindly words. Seanachai, I'm not sure if I don't prefer the ferrets
  13. The world goes hell, butt not in the ways that seems to be show. People is starting to starve. Crime is the only way to make a living if you born in some places. Education is falling. Health care is falling. But if I look from my balconey I still see the same quiet neighborhood in the center of the big city in which I ever live, with birds singing and very few cars passing. We will be falling for long time before to become a really dangerous place.
  14. Things are really bad, Holien, but don't miss the opportunity that hard money will give you now Seriously, though the crime is raising, there is a very little chance of getting kidnapped. I know I'm a very lucky guy, but I never was involved in any violence in the streets episode, from my college days. Of course, if you drives a BMW, better you watch your back before to leave the car... But driving a BMW when evrybody else is going to hell is in very poor taste, IMHO. Keep the low level and the streets are as safe as ever, but depressing with all the people working to recycle trash to living. Río Cuarto is a little city without any major security problem that I know, except the usual drunk guys in any little ctiy or town
  15. Rioting? Which rioting? Oh! That little demonstration in front of the USA embassy? That doesn't count. Is more alarmant the increasing number of 'casual' criminals due to unemployment and poverty, plus the change of behaviour of the big criminals due to the new competence and the lack of flowing cash.
  16. I know, I know... But "Ariel" means something like "Soldier of God" in Hebrew... We will never knows what was in the mind of that Danish guy...
  17. Give me a few days to look the system. Or send me a setup that you like.
  18. You must have to explain me that some day. I keep trying to find the thread where that happens to not avail. The Search parameters I've used can be part of some Book of Infamy...

  21. I did. Matt take a look at it and was greatly impressed, but he seems to be unable to help me with my Member problem. BTW, I apreciatte that you use capitals when referring to Him Seriously, I had, for reason unknown to me, two memberships, 663 and 1081, both exactly the same. Matt deleted one and for some reason I can't enter the board with 'argie' anymore.
