  1. I have been an avid fan of the SP series, and I found SPWAW to be an enjoyable experience. I don't play if for it's realsim, I play it because I like it, and enjoy doing a battle there from time to time. It's not going to be played a lot, but it will stay on my HD for a long time.

    I either likes or dislikes a game. It doesn't matter how realistic it is, how much eyecandy there are or what other people think of it. If I like it I play it. As simple as that! smile.gif

  3. Apart from the recreation of KGWilk ( home.sol.no/~paaar/kgwilk ), I want to make a scenario from an old movie ("Last bridge across the Rhine", or something). I don't remember much, but there was this scene where a platoon of Shermans had to advance along a narrow road next to a river and then cross the river on a railroad bridge, while being under direct fire from a pair of 88's! I think they succeeded (it was an American movie, after all biggrin.gif), but I'd like to simulate it in CM!

  4. I had some strange graphical problems with the cursor. The game would also run for a while and then hang. After reading a bit here yesterday, I upgraded my mouse-drivers and whaddoyaknow - it works like a dream now! Could that be worth trying for you?

    Don't get me wrong, this site looks good and I will probably use it in the future. I just wish more people would specialize, in stead of making just another page with "a litle info about everything".

  7. Here in Norway I pay roughly 1$ US per hour online during off-peak (?) hours (5 pm to 7 am weekdays, and 24 hours on weekends). Let's say we managed to swap files every 10 minutes on average. In a 20 turns game (a short one), you need about 30 swaps (????), so that's five hours online.

    Now, let's take a long game of 40 turns, and my wife would file for a divorce. smile.gif

    The money isn't the problem. The time is! wink.gif

    Anyway, my suggestion for CM2 is "Beyond Barbarossa" and for CM3 "Desert Rats" or "Rommel's finest hour". I second OBG's "Blitzkrieg" for CM4.

  9. A while ago Matt told us on CMHQ that we would be able to do 1 sec. jumps back and forth when watching the video.

    Will it be possible to do a fram-by-fram playback (or, say 0.1 sec jumps)? If you have the code for 1 sec jumps, it shouldn't be to hard to implement (I guess/hope).

    Perhaps something to add in CM2...? smile.gif

  11. I'll do an operation based on a miniature game I took part in some years ago (check it out on http://home.sol.no/~paaar/battlefield/kgwilk/kgwilk.htm NB! Very unfinished, and the big pictures takes a long (!) time loading).

    The plot is as follows. Due to an unforseen American breakthrough northwards in France 1944 a hasty defense is set up along the coast with reinforcements beeing rushed to the frontline. The Germans must hold at all costs in order to secure the evacuation of a V2 base just behind the new frontline.

    I'll have to downscale it a little bit, but all in all, it shouldn't be any trouble converting it. I just have to get some more info from our GM smile.gif
