  4. Welcome to fun with the ATI Mobile P (****ty card)... This issue was just addressed about a week ago... There is an incompatability between the game and the ****ty drivers that ATI released. Steve said that he is 90% certain that this has been fixed in the full release. A temporary fix for the demo is as follows. Start CM in 1024x768 resolution, in the intro screen, esc. back to your desktop, change the video resolution to 800x600, and then maximise combat mission again. for more information search for ATI or something like that. -EridanMan proud Inspiron 5000 owner
  5. no alt just prtscreen will work -EridanMan
  6. will it be possible to start the game with casualties? I mean, create a scenario with a bunch of bodies in the middle of the map, and a force's job is to get to those casualties within a certain length of time in order to rescue/assist them -EridanMan
  7. I think the new bodies are a perfect comprimise personally... Although I fully admit that I've been an advocate of death markers from the get-go... (6 months ago now... wow...) -EridanMan
  8. It doesn't... current word is that it will be released in a patch a few months after the game ships.. hopefully with full-length movies... -EridanMan
  9. ROFLMAO SHRIKER!!!!! that's hilarious!!!! hehehehehe especially considering the board's history on this topic -EridanMan
  10. cmhq no longer work with natscape 4.7 at all matt just fyi (I'll use ms internet exploiter temporarely... but I feel dirty ) -EridanMan
  11. Cm2??? why are there cm2 screenshots already, CM one isn't done yet... hmmm, I guess I was just suprised that screenshots existed already, thats all hehehe, the countdown begins for CM 2 oh, btwe, Xavier, I would recommed upgrading video cards... the image quality of those screenshots leaves much to be desired -EridanMan
  12. people will always complain.... about their forces, about their luck, about anything... a good commander will just deal and maximise what he does have... war isn't fair -Scott
  13. That is the understanding I had as well... one at the final resting point of each squad would make sence... also allow you to look for heros at the end of the battle (and not worry about them getting killed during the fighting) -EridanMan
  14. which leads me to the next question... are molotov coctails in cm? I mean, talk about the ultimate in man-portable anti-tank weaponry... (If you can talk someone into getting close enough). my guess is no... -EridanMan
  15. I really think that this deserves a new thread, but I will let Steve or someone else important do it... seeing as I'm guessing its not something we're suppossed to know about... -EridanMan
  16. HOLY ****!!! no joke people!!! that's definately not people lying prone!!! German and allied soldiers lying on their back... -EridanMan
  17. Come on guys, Where's your paranoid conspiracy theories? arn't they all out to get us? its the thought police I tell you actually, after the game is released I'd love to see pictures of these so-called rainbow men, I just think it'd look kinda funny. Shame he didn't leave them in. hehehe -EridanMan
  18. hmmm... position is a little suspicious just to be an unfinished texture... I mean, what vehicle is that small? Sure it could be an infantry picture, but they are have been done for a while (at least my understanding)... Nope, sorry Madmatt, can't say I buy it You just happen to be too much one of "them" involved in the cover up and your coming to get me! The thought police are coming to silence me! hehehehehe The truth is out there (sorry, lame X-Files reference) -EridanMan [This message has been edited by Eridani (edited 04-26-2000).]
  19. I'm not saying anything about the overruns... I know they aren't in... What I am saying is that those images are clearly doctored, which means that there is something underneath that we're not suppossed to see... and I'm very curious as to what that might be... VERY curious come on... I know I'm not the only one here who shook their christmas presents before christmas morning -EridanMan [This message has been edited by Eridani (edited 04-26-2000).]
  20. I know I'm not going to get an official answer to this... but did anyone else notice the image doctoring of the the photo's? http://wbr.thegamers.net/articles/cmpics/FF16-tankdeath.jpg on both sides of the sherman there are clear blot outs... makes me wonder. any guesses as to what could be there that we're not suppossed to see? -EridanMan
  21. hehehe, I just had to get this... 4000 threads, 40000+ posts... damn... you know your obsessed with CM when... ... you care that you just passed the 4000 thread mark -EridanMan [This message has been edited by Eridani (edited 04-25-2000).]
  22. Hey- I just noticed something very interesting... If I start a game in 1024x768 resolution and then set my laptops resolution down to 800x600, when I click on combat mission on the taskbar the cursor works perfectly. I now have 3 clones of combat mission running, one was started while I was 640x480 native, one 800x600 and the third 1024x768. I am now in 800x600 and the 640x480 and 1024x768 both work flawlessly. if I switch up to 1024x768, then the 640 and the 800 will both work, but 1024 won't anymore. It seems that if CM changes the native resolution when I maximize it, everything works, when it just uses the native (windows) rez, the cursor goes haywire... I don't know if this helps at all... It makes sense to me though... any idea if this will keep happening with the gold version? -EridanMan
