Any word on the release of a CMAK demo? I remember seeing something in the CMAK thread, but it said that demos were released when a game went gold, and that doesn't make any sense to me, why release the demo after the game?

Good Point! We really need to do something to slow down the Georgian Immigration. It really skews the stats in a downward manner.Originally posted by Jim Boggs:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by v42below:
This only thing, which is truly sad, is the fact that the US education system is such a brain washing charade that the students, being so utterly and completely confused, can actually end up with negative scores.
Although some have ended up in New Zealand, it is not enough to slow the trend here.
So, in a way, we should be grateful to v42. </font>

You know, fellow Yanks, we could take up a collection to help Vdrunktoomuchpotatojuice try and take San Francisco off of our hands....... I have some change in my kitchen drawers, who is going to help?

My advice would play the Gallagher scenarios in numerical order as a primer. If Gallagher 1 is way too easy, skip to #4, it that is to easy, try #6, but definitely get some experience under your belt before trying #8. You are in for a treat. TacOps is THE modern wargame as far as I am concerned.

I bought both games together, and played CMBB first. A couple of days later, I tried CMBO, and I must agree, that CMBB is a huge improvement. I do, however, play CMBO occaisonally, mainly for specific battles. For QB's and just for fun, I much prefer CMBB. I mainly have a problem with the lack of movement modes in CMBO. I haven't really been playing long enough to have noticed the other problems people bring up. Any word on a demo release for CMAK? I am making my way through the thread, but it is pretty long.

Thank you, I was starting to wonder if anyone read that. Hope it works out (profitably) for you guys.

NG cavscout, I apologize, just thought of a good thing to say about Wisconsin.
It's between me and Chicago."
Well, another from the Minestrone gallery is heard from. Thank you for your input. Don't you have ice to fish? Or Moose to molest? Don't you have to make a sacrifice to the football gods to try and convince them to give the Vikings a playoff spot? Then again, that hasn't been working very well lately....

Last things first. APOLOGIZE TO THE FIB'S?????
Ok, I am sorry that you "people" (once again using the term rather loosely) can't drive. When appreciating the meaning of true beauty in Wisconsin, where it seems that the ENTIRE population of your rather anemic excuse for a state comes EACH AND EVERY weekend, you should really pay attention to which side of the road you are on. We know that trees are lovely, and truly represent the glory that is nature, but please stop HITTING ours with your cars.
I am sorry that your state is so devoid of culture and opportunity to commune with the nature gods that you must over run "God's Country" (As Wisconsin is affectionately known throughout the western world) whenever your mob bosses allow you no-necks to drift out of the speak easys, put a temporary halt to your protection rackets, and do your best to stop knuckle dragging long enough to cross the border.
I am sorry that the aforementioned bosses seem to think that proceeds from the I-90 toll road fits better in their Swiss accounts and used as bribes to ensure another democratic tenure in the governor's mansion, than in the fund to fix that sorry excuse for a dirt road that has more holes than a 6 year heroin junkies arm.
The essay is under completion. And I am trying to find a nice way to tell Lady Moraine that although her tactical abilities may stand up to muster against the genetic backwaters I see in here (how appropriately named is this cesspool), but perhaps, if she were to match them to someone actually possessing a forebrain, they might come up a bit short. As soon as I am able to put that into gentlemanly terms, I will attempt to pry her from the embrace of the dreaded "Hiram-Beast" I have heard so much of and challenge the Lass.

Didn't he get his head stuck in the marmalade jar?

Thanks for the hint. I am glad you could clear that up because I know in the House of Palm Shaving you prefer your serfs to have the zipper in the back. How is that whole NAMBLA membership thing working out for you?Originally posted by Joe Shaw:(snipped)
NG cavscout (spelt but not bolded) is still a serf and not under instruction at present and ... let's be honest here ... even when he IS taken to Squire it will be by rune ... well ... the lad will be lucky to know which way to put his trousers on of a morning ... (hint: the zipper goes in the FRONT).

Offstralia joining the U.S.? God would not be so cruel. I already have to smell Minestroneans when the wind is from the west, and ILLannoyans fester to my south, now I am expected to pitch in when someone starts collecting for orphaned kangaroo's? Or pay the prison bills of some deviant Koala molester?
They wouldn't bring the Kiwi's with them would they?
Heck, while we are at it, why not let the Canadianinnys in?
Alright, at least ABBA will always be Swedish. That is one thing they can't hang on us.

bumping this to see if anyone else has any thoughts.

Just PBEM for me so far.

You got it Leeo, I see now why, at least, one of them was banished. There are certain things that are beyond the pale. Is there a list of banished?

This damn game should have a warning label. First, I spend 1-2 hours a day trying to beat the AI. Then, I discover the BF forums, spending .5 hours a day, plus my AI habit which is by then, up to 3-4 hours a day. No problem, I am in control, not the game. Then I figure I will try PBEM, ummmm when did the sun go down!!!!
Ok, reading the forums, PBEM, re-reading the forums, we are talking 5-8 hours a day-night-day.
Then the Peng thread, which I have warned others of, sucks me in. Now, I play PBEM, and refresh the Peng thread to see if anyone has insulted me, or responded to my *twitch* insult, I alt-tab back to my mail page, refresh that, to see if any of my 4 opponents *twitch* have SENT ME A FREAKING TURN in the last 3 minutes, yes? WOO HOO, upload their orders, play it out, give my orders, send it off, refresh the forums, *twitch* see if any one has *twitch* insulted me or responded tomyinsultcheckmailpagetoseeifmyopponentshavesentAFREAKINGTU................
Next thing you know, I am a cautionary tale. CM addiction is like a Lovecraftian monster, it's mere gaze causes insanity. DO NOT GO TO IPSWICH

Born a Kiwi, became a Kiwi by choice, no matter, you are still brown and hairy on the outside and green and mushy with little black seeds on the inside, and my wife likes to cut you up and decorate her cheesecake with you.

Is there a list of those condemned to Coventry? I ask because the bright shiny face of the Kiwi just begs for some abuse, and it is about time he felt some himself, rather than just dishing it out to his sheep.
As I recall, the rules regarding those condemned to Coventry is they are shunned? No recognition of their existence?

haven't done it in the game yet, in RL, using HMMWV's toting .50 cal's and Mk-19 AGL's, we pull the trucks to cover/concealed position, hull down would be fantastic if possible, kick out the dismounts there. Cover them with Hvy Wpns from the vehicle as they cover the last 300-400 Meters on foot. HMMWV's, and HT's (I would imagine) are too soft and too large a target to pull up into knife fighting range, let them cover the advance from a distance with some cover.

Cool website Hemi, is that the M4 carbine you are holding? We are getting those at my unit next month. I have only used the full length M-16. What do you think of the M4? Here is a link to some pics my PSG took during AT.

But they were the 3 important soldiers, weren't they? The one that spelled big words for you, the one that herded together the underage lemmings for your unnatural lusts, and the one that kept whispering into your ear, "Don't worry about it, it happens to all guys, don't worry about it, it happens to all guys, etc, etc."

Here is a MOUT website if you have any questions regarding tactics. It also has some really interesting pictures of Urban combat and training, even back to WW2
