I guess I am wondering how many times has this actually been an issue for you? I have been playing for about a year also, and I have seen that there is a difference related to this sort of AI activity. However, it has not been a significant issue in the fifty or sixty games I have played since the latest patch was released. I have seen it happen a few times, but that act alone was never the defining moment in the game. I am not saying that it couldn't be better, I am only saying that despite this mild annoyance I am able to play the game without concern. My $0.02...thanks for listening.

Not to say that I am as good as Kiwi Joe but it really is about tatics. You need to understand the capabilities of your units and then use them appropriately. Luck will always weigh in, hopefully it will occasionally show up in your camp. I recommend playing against live opponents who are better than you and learn from them. Other than that, welcome aboard. If you want to play PBEM let me know.

I have been running with ME for six months or so....no problems.

Remember close means CLOSE. You need to be within 20m or so to be really effective in close assualts.

I have been running CMBO on my computer with Windows ME for about 6 months with no real issues between the two. I had some issues with ME early on, but a clean install cleared those issues up.

You need to place the reinforcement markers while previewing the map during the editing phase. Then they won't appear so close to one another behind YOUR lines.

Your points are well made. I have played as defender about 6 times against humans and I have yet to win. This is most likely due to a combination of factors, such as my inability to manage my troops, but is also an indication that defense against overwhelming numbers is a tough job. Like you, I am not complaining, just acknowledging that your observations are on the money. I keep playing in defense, in the hopes that I will eventually get at least a draw.

I like the speed of the new forum, but the colors are a bit hard on the eyes, especially for those of us who spend more time here then anywhere else. I guess maybe I could where some sunglasses :cool:
