  1. Important: The key that is used to get you Steam key is your CMRT key.
  2. You're better off trying to get a ceasefire, just from a score point of view. But a surrender will generate a proper CM score that will replace the running score. Your opponent does have a Battlefront forum account and was online as recently as 4 hours ago. @Fizou
  3. I also see that the leaderboard correctly moved our running score. You took out 1 man in each of the battles on my most recent exchange and I see that you got 6 points and I got 2.
  4. I was pretty happy that I had a uncon plan that worked. I got enough men able to provide covering fire while I moved in close and took out a couple of your teams. It felt nice getting in close and not taking any returning fire while I wiped them out. Your moves as Blue are a mystery to me because I can barely see anyone. I know you took out one of my teams but other than that I don't have a hard spot on anyone.
  5. It's still early but I'm not getting slaughtered!!!!!...............yet.
  6. IT may be the AMD driver and it may be that your anti-virus software blocked some of the installation. Check out this thread for the AMD driver. If that doesn't help, open a Help Desk ticket and include, if you can, a screenshot of the contents of the game's Data folder. https://community.battlefront.com/topic/141554-amd-228-series-breaks-game-again/
  7. Looks like this was posted last night after I'd taken my oldest out for her birthday. I did check the Help Desk before going to bed but not the forum.
  8. Battlefront may not have screwed up your weekend. Somefink else on your system may have. It's always best to reach out to tech support rather than flounder taking guesses. But that is just one persons opinion. I have no tickets that have not been replied to. I reply 365 days a year. I work on the Help Desk on Christmas, Thanksgiving, on the golf course, Saturdays, Sundays, if I am awake and near my phone (I got a dead sexy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold) or my computer then I am on duty. So that accusation is very unfair. There is too little information in this ticket to help much. If you open a ticket, we'll be happy to help. If not, the link that @Brille posted sounds like it may be what you're looking for.
  9. I tried to copy/paste it but apparently I can't do that with the text in the game. I suppose that I can make a screenshot but the best thing is to open the scenario in CMSF2. It is one that shipped with the game. Ambush in al Fubar. That will give you more information than just the text would anyway.
  10. You already got points. I haven't even seen a movie yet or heard a shot fired. That's how much I suck.
  11. The only thing that I would really recommend is making sure to get a dedicated video card. Either nVidia or AMD. The Intel integrated card isn't what you want to run the game on.
  12. If you didn't complete the ceasefire before the time had run out you will have whatever the running score was at the time the clock stopped.
  13. You should have 2 files in your In Progress list. The original and the one that I just processed.
  14. You got a lucky draw, my friend. This will move you up the leaderboard fast.
  15. The Fall of 1999. I'm not sure how much of CM history you know but, in the Fall of '99 Battlefront released a public beta demo for CM Beyond Overlord with the original CM1 game engine. The game itself didn't come out until June 2000. Between the Fall of '99 and then all we had to play were, initially, 2 scenarios, with a 3rd added around Christmas. The PBEM feature was included in the demo and many of us old timers played countless PBEM games in those months. Countless. And using only 3 scenarios. That is where I truly learned to suck at Combat Mission. I've continued that sucking through today. Start playing PBEM today. Don't worry about winning or losing. You'll have a lot of fun and learn what to do and not do in the game more quickly playing against a human.
  16. The way tournament scenarios have to be set up, the Blue password is always filled in as blank before any player touches a file. But, when playing the Red side if the player enters somefink in the password field then it will have a password that isn't blank. In other words, before the file was sent to MrSpkr you entered a password. Try to think of what you may have entered. Otherwise, the battle is dead in the water and there isn't anything that can be done. This round ends in a couple of days anyway.......so there isn't much time to have played it. Regardless of how that plays out, welcome to our forum! It has been hard for us when there are people we want to reach out to to see if there is a problem but they aren't on our forum (or they are but under a different name). Which just gave me an idea...........Who here regularly posts on the Matrix forum? You have to have posted a certain number of times on their forum before you can send a PM. My account has all sorts of issues and has prevented me from posting there.....let alone sending PMs. But maybe someone here that posts there frequently can be a our "go to" person when we see players unresponsive.
  17. I believe that once each player has sent a file for a battle that the 1,000 points is off the table. We'll find out soon enough. No, this won't happen. The only time the in game score is ever used if when a battle is completed and the final score is pushed to Slitherine. If a battle isn't completed then the running score is what will become the final score. At least that's what I have been told and saw when testing.........But we'll see on May 26th.
  18. Call in sick and play CM all day......after waking up late.
  19. It wouldn't have helped if you had. You brought to my attention that the wrong manual is with the Steam CMBN installation. It doesn't have the PBEM++ information in it. I grab what I posted from the manual that installs with Cold War.
  20. Correct. As with the Battlefront version, when you install the game everything is installed. The license keys "unlock" the content. From the how to get your Steam key post:
  21. In Steam, right click on the game in your Library. In the dropdown menu that appears move the cursor over Manage and then select "browse local files". From there you will see the Game Files folder to put scenarios, saved games, etc in. You will also find the Data folder to place your mods. You have found something that needs to be fixed, without even intentionally doing so. The Steam game manual is not the most current manual. We need to correct that. If it were the correct manual it would say this on page 30: .
