  1. I think your guys problem is you are associating this with a Starcraft or Age of Empires style game when you think of Real-Time. It has some of the functions of these games but if you play like that, gonna be a long hard road for you.

I think its less twitch than it is click and make accurate placements to use cover in advancing, and that has nothing to do with age. :D

Maybe it also could be finding older than you players to whip on too. Maybe you guys are right. :D

  2. Well I wasnt the map maker in case you thought I was LOL. I am as good at making a scenario as Snooki is at being a role model. I start with a company and end up with a 4x4km map with 11 battalions on each side. I bet my scenarios expend more ammo than any side did during the entire war. Pisses me off too cause I love trying to make them.

But beta guys do very little in the way of after thought. Tiny scenarios are super hard to make IMO. Just everything has to balance but with smaller sized personnel pools, the player making a mistake ruins the fun, which in turn affects the way the scenario is viewed and its re-playability.

  3. Well you can look at like this. They had about 3 times as many troops as the US and COA forces did, lost a hell of a lot more men, had a lot more soldiers wounded from battle, had a butt load more wounded due to diseases, but also killed a massive amount of Afghans compared to us.

Whats strange is no one ever wins there especially since the Soviets or US never really lost a major battle. And the Afghans never win because well they have to live and die there.

As far as the Soviets being good or bad, there really is no easy answer and while CMA is a great game (And best balanced of the CMx2 games) it really cant help answer a question that really doesnt have a real definitive answer to be honest. I guess while I served almost 5 years of my life there and think my countrymen and allies were the best to ever fight, we really in retrospect accomplished exactly the same thing there as the Soviets did.

  4. Lets go Detroit Lions in the first playoff game they have had since CMBO entered the scene! ;)

ps. Any haters rooting for the Saints will have all of their future games delayed and banned from the forum for reasons of treason, heresy, and just plain rudeness.

  5. Actually, from the time I was deployed in Afghanistan, the G3 was quite common to find these still, especially in the Korengal region. They never seemed to be low on ammo for anything to me LOL. We even found G36K and C from time to time. I wanted to take a few of them home to be honest. And Bill is correct about the M16 variants there. That was an instant clue they werent a friendly if they had a M4. :)

  6. We want everything to be released yesterday as well. As for your timetable that you wish for things to happen in, well the schedule has been public knowledge for sometime. :) I think they would like a 4 release a year schedule too, just they will need you to send them your winning lottery numbers so they can pay the people they need to do this. Steve is awaiting your email.

  7. Thanks guys---i see i didn't miss a damn thing by not knowing what PENG stood for !

I am pretty sure you are the soon to be the offspring of Emry's or even worse you will be the Boo of Radley. PENG would be proud but he that shall not be named except in print doesnt care.

  8. CMSF is the best simulation of combat that BFC has ever done. It's by no means as pretty as CMBN and for some of you, the theater and era of combat isnt what you are into, but if you missed it, well I feel sorry that you did. The sheer number of weapons systems is staggering and getting them all basically right and balanced within the game was truly a work of art. I dont think BFC will ever do a module as good as NATO was either. Just my opinion (but I am right) :)
