  1. Dear Emma launched a surgical strike that hit Dalem in a key geopolitical location. I wouldn't be concerned though....It's not like he was using them. Mace
  2. Aftermath? Yes, and we actually played a few sessions. We also had a campaign running of Chivalry & Sorcery. Twilight 2000? Got that and ran a few sessions but IMHO 2300AD was much more fun. Actually now that you've mentioned these I do believe I still have my copies around somewhere. Time to drag them out and have another read. I can understand your jealousy Boo, you were so nerdy and lacking in charisma even the stereotypical Role Player didn't want to be associated with you. Some things just never change. Mace
  3. Actually, I must add that this topic reminds me of a famous saying: You can please all of the people some of the time; some of the people all of the time; BUT, you can never please all of the people all the time Mace
  4. I can answer this I beleive. For the past several months, the beta tester's sole role was to test the game and look for anything that appeared to be anomolous in the game. This was done by playing practically non-stop against the AI and other beta testers via QBs, prepared scenarios and operations. In other words, to go out and play until we broke it. This gave Battlefront the permutations needed to observe how well the game performed holistically through our comments on how we felt CMBB modelled our perceptions of WW2 combat. As you said this a matter of personal opinion. I've had little or no trouble with HMG teams because I don't have them up front with the infantry squads but back in the battle field for covering support. I move them forward if the amount of return fire is minimal and once done, I then bound the infantry further forward. So as far as I'm concerned the HMG behaves as I would expect it to behave, and that the HMG team modelling needs little if no more refinement in the game. Mace
  5. And if it is Scott, I can state he has never experienced the fun of CMBO or CMBB. Everyone tell him what he's missing out on. Mace
  6. Ok. Another Melbourne Government worker who plays FPS and who has made his first post. Scott, if it's you you'll keep. Mace [ November 26, 2002, 03:07 AM: Message edited by: Mace ]
  7. Dunno. But if he idolises me I hope he gives me a lot of money, showers me with gifts or something. Mace
  8. Errr.. Being a guv'mint worker I always take credit for the output of others but..... What did I do to earn such accolades? Mace
  9. Real men packed a PGMP-12 and wore Battle Dress in Traveller campaigns. Mace
  10. 5 days drive to get here..... and YOU had to go forget the address of the best brothel in Russia! Mace
  11. IIRC, Justice couldn't be done to multi-turreted AFVs with current CM engine, so it was decided to leave them out. However, this may change with the CM engine rebuild. Mace
  12. Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Even with those disabilities you still manage to get on with life. Mace
  13. No. There's been far too much hugging of late. It's time to pursue more manly things like ..umm.. beer swilling and generally making a nuisance of one self. Mace
  14. Well you've failed dismally so far, but keep giving it that good ol' kiwi try. Mace
  15. I think the majority of us here are absolutely impressed by CMBB and would say that it is not 'unfinished'. Any additional ammendments BTS choose to do is just icing on the cake. Mace
  16. The MG on the cupola was mainly for AA defence. It wasn't a standard fixture however. Mace
  17. I wasn't aware CMBB could run on a commodore 64. Regardless, I think the majority of us don't have a speed option unless really large battles are played with high graphic settings. Learn to love the 'meeting engagement'. Blasphemer!!! The Eastern Front is where it ALL happened! Mace
  18. Double post. I put it down to alcohol consumption. [ November 22, 2002, 03:17 AM: Message edited by: Mace ]
