  1. (drip) (drip) (creeek) Jeez, what's that smell? Don't they ever clean this place? And there's a dead, bloated horse carcass in the corner, why don't they get rid of that. Oh, wait, that's just one of the Pengers, and he's still breathing so he's probably just in a drunken stupor. Oh, well, best get it over with and get the hell out of here. YK2, you in here? A couple members of the "friends of PawBroon" society were just wondering how he's doing. Thanks, Gordon Man, now I'll probably never get that off my shoe.
  2. Rob, There is no Filelist file for "fountains." VJ et al used the single tile "pond" BMP, so you can use "Terrain_water.txt" and "Terrain_ice.txt". As long as you give the BMPs unique suffixes, you won't have to worry about inadvertantly changing any of the other water/ice BMPs. Gordon
  3. Andreas, These aren't what you are looking for? Big bad boys ... thread Available at CM Mod Database and (eventually) CM:HQ. Gordon
  4. Keith, Well there's around, and then there's around. I'm mostly retired from modding and CMMOS, but want to keep my hand in a little bit so I don't go completely stale. Gordon
  5. Ok, I just finished uploading the CMMOS versions of the Svinarnik IS-2, ISU-122, ISU-122S and ISU-152 featuring Soviet, Polish and Czech markings to CM Mod Database. Once they're up on CM:HQ, you'll also want to pick up the new version of the Svinarnik Rule-set so that the multi-vehicle changes work properly. For non-CMMOS users, it should be relatively easy to strip off the file suffixes to pick the versions you want as there's only one simple little overlay option that you can ignore. Gordon
  6. Just took a look. Gotta be your best work to date. Very nice. Gordon
  7. FYI, I've posted the CMMOS versions of my summer and winter Matilda II mods and my summer M3A1 mod to CMMODS. I'll still submit everything to CM:HQ so that there's a single location that has all CMMOS mods, but this should help with the wait. When I submit the big bad boys I'll do so to both CM:HQ and CMMODS. Gordon
  8. Axe2121, Yes, I actually do still consider myself retired. Anyone who remembers my output of CMBO mods, let alone the work involved with writing and supporting CMMOS understands. Warmaker, Once they are finished, they'll be added to the CM:HQ CMMOS mod queue. aka_tom_w, I should get them into the pipeline this weekend, but there's quite a backlog of mods in the CM:HQ CMMOS pipeline, so I have no idea when they'll actually be published. Rob, Yes, they'll be CMMOS only. The Matilda II and M3A1 mods I posted to CMMODS are non-CMMOS versions of my original CMMOS mods which are still in the pipeline for publishing (I think). MikeT, I'm getting to it. MikeyD, IS-2s at 10 paces?!? That could get messy. sitzkrieg, Hey! You're still around. Long time no speak. Thanks all, Gordon
  9. Rob, 64 x 64 pixels is indeed the correct size for CMMOS icons. Gordon
  10. Well, I haven't had any time to do any serious modding, but I wanted to do some fiddling around, so I decided I'd do the IS-2, ISU-122, ISU-122S and ISU-152 Svinarnik versions. They each feature optional markings for Soviet Red Army Stars, Guards emblems, various Polish and Czechoslovak formations as well as turret/superstructure ID bands and different aerial recognition marking styles (different examples of which can be seen in the previews below). As soon as I get a life again, I'll get back to working on the winter version of my M3A1 Scout Car and then work on the M5 and M17 base mods. 11. Humpf. After all that clamoring and begging to get them posted. One response. (bump) Gordon
  12. Ok, bowing to pressure from the Macfanatics, I've posted non CMMOS versions of my Matilda II and M3A1 Scout Car mods to CMMODS. To refresh your memories: Enjoy. And feedback (both positive and negative - as long as it's constructive) always welcome. Gordon
  13. AndrewTF and mchlstrt, Stay tuned ... Tracer, I'll add it to my list of long-term projects. Gordon
  14. Ok, I believe I am finished with my M3A1 Scout Car mod. So it will go into MikeT's and jwxspoon's queue for publishing. As with my Matilda II mod, there are clean and dirty versions included, and both "factory" (US Army olive drab) and Soviet base color options. It will probably be a while before I can get to the M17 and M5 mods. But I do intend to eventually "complete the set." Gordon
  15. Pvt Ryan, Actually compared to how many different projects I was working on before (CMMOS, my mods, converting other modders work to CMMOS, etc.), I'm definitely retired. As I've said before, this is just to keep from losing my hard-won modding skills (such as they are) completely. Gordon [ April 22, 2003, 08:26 AM: Message edited by: Gordon ]
  16. Thanks all. mchlstrt, The M3A1 is a pretty simple model. Juju, Did you ever do an improved .50 Cal mod? Gordon
  17. That's right. I decided to do some more lend-lease work and am going to do the US halftracks and M3A1 Scout Car. Since the M3A1 is the easiest of the bunch, I figured I'd start with it. When finished (the M3A1 is still alpha and the others are barely started), all the vehicles will be available in both original US olive drab and Soviet colors. Gordon
  18. Likewise, I think a game that covers Italy would still miss the Cromwell, Comet and Challenger, and I can't at the moment recall having heard of Fireflies in Italy, either. All the best, John. </font>
  19. Yeah, it's been fun. Not a problem, as I've been the one asking for them. Always good to hear other opinions. Gordon
  20. Tracer, Not to detract from MikeyD's excellent mod, have you looked at Marco's original Sherman mods for CMBO? Quite nice with many options, and already CMMOS compatible. Gordon
  21. Tracer, The markings would be wrong. "Free" versus Communist. Gordon
  22. Mike, Well, my sources show about as many vehicles with a reasonably uniform application of whitewash/white paint as those with a heavily worn appearance. I personally am not partical to many of the heavily worn mods as they look a little too random and "busy" to me (they tend to obscure a lot of the graphical details), but to each their own. And of course if anyone wants to use the summer base textures for alternative winter/whitewashed mods, they are more than welcome to. Gordon [ April 08, 2003, 12:59 PM: Message edited by: Gordon ]
  23. Mike, I'm still partial to keeping snow and whitewash as separate mods (the snow tends to show up better without the whitewash, but it's probably more "realistic" for the Russian winter this way. Gordon
