  1. You are mistaken in your second statement and if you'd read the link in the original post you'll see why. Welcome to the forum BTW
  2. Sorry, no. My thread. Keep yer perpetual motion machines, vacuum drives and sightings of Germans with a sense of humour in those "other" threads that I avoid. Keep this to questioning Andreas as to why my elecy is still not "too cheap to meter". Humph.
  3. Originally from Portal, the flash version, now re-made. There's not quite as brilliant as the first lot, but only because you already know all the tricks. Well worth the price. Which is FREE.
  4. Man, I got Kobierowski'd the other weekend. Bottle of Cava, another of red wine and 4 tiger beers. Of course, I wasn't driving/embedded in a road sign.
  5. I'm surprised at that Andreas, and I can only think the debate needs to move on another 5 years and people will seriously be talking about replacing all primary energy (except perhaps aviation) generation needs with nuclear power. To achieve Kyoto agreement targets, ensure security of supply and to bring the cost of initial installation per MW down. One thing I've wondered though, why do nuclear power plants need to be decommissioned? I can understand the pipework wearing out and needing replacing etc - does the shielding start to become radioactive and so it's cheaper to pull it all off and build a new one? Scary story though, my mate Colin Potter works for the Nuclear Regulatory Agency and when Eastern Europe opened up he used to go and inspect all their power plants. He said they often wouldn't pay the scientists that worked there as they knew they couldn't make it to a safe distance in time if they left, aside from all the other damage.
  6. Empire has it in better definition: http://www.empireonline.com/video/watchmen/ It seems the graphic novel movie has come of age.
  7. I say, we'd just use our superior verbal skills to win any engagement. Tarrah!
  8. Or harness. If it's a parachute he'll have a job getting the harness round his legs before he...lands.
  9. Are you sure that's what they are? I don't see any drogue.
  10. I'd agree that sometimes spotting seems out of wack but it's so complex that it's hard to pin down the factors that are or are not being either modelled or paid enough attention to - given that even the modelled factors have many parameters that effect them. I'd say if we start getting the most egregious examples and make a pool of them maybe we could start drawing some conclusions from them otherwise it's all apocryphal, which does no one much good.
  11. Pull ups on top of a crane. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8BbUhlIEZEY Enjoy.
  12. I think the timeline is US Marines (+ more Syrian stuff), British then WWII, although I think some development can be done in parallel.
  13. Everyone who I'd like to send it to knows I've not been in NZ for the last few weeks. Shame.
  14. Nice one. Notice they don't mention the name in the audio but you'd swear they did, no identifiable shots of the guy and the print outs are on flat objects. Nicely done though Jon, where do you put your name?
  15. ғuck him up good Blackhorse. Oo-er. Sorry.
  16. Taxidermists use acid to remove the flesh from the bones. A friend of my brothers who was an amateur stuffer drank some, they don't know if it was on purpose or not. He died a few hours later. So yeah, it's likely there's no flesh left for DNA purposes unless the stuffer thought on and I think testing would have been mentioned in the article.
  17. I'm playing Civ IV at the moment and after buying it but not really looking at it I'm starting to get into it. I think I didn't really get it at first because it's actually a lot more complex than Civ 1. Instead of the 3 way build/tech/military juggling, there's a couple more factors so my easy divide and kill strategy didn't work. I think you can get Civ 1 for free now - it's on mobile phones FGS - but Civ IV is good if you're willing to move on. The "Beyond the Sword" expansion is also supposed to be really good.
  18. Dispossessed and middle class? Which one? I think the main thing going on is the lads obvious lack of talent being overcome by nepotism, together with him lying about writing "skins" and the Guardian being so desperate for a "yoof" perspective they let in on their website so all undermining their own credibility. There's also the element of a pile-on but what the hell.
  19. http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/travelog/2008/02/skins_blog.html Not the blog, the comments.
  20. That looks cool Oren. Quite evocative even for just a trailer.
