Vanitas
I reinstalled my paradox CMSF recently, but when starting it up, everything went black. Tried it several times, but no luck. Now I've got windows 7. Back then I had windows XP; is that the cause?
Vanitas
I installed paradox patch 1.08 and the free patch 1.21. In trying to solve the 'compatabilty' issue, all of a sudden a battlefront screen appears asking for a license key which I don't have. I have the paradox cd version of CMSF and the following modules (marines, brits and nato). What now?
Harry Speakup
1.20* is the last free patch for the Paradox version. 1.21 requires a $1 payment for the Battlefront activation key Click on the Readme link at http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_versions&catid=2 [*Edit - Not 1.08]

Not that I mind paying one dollar....
Harry Speakup
I started with Paradox version and upgraded to 1.21, it works. It just gets you on the BF activation system eligible to upgrade and buy any expansion packs without a problem. If your hardware will run 1.20, there should be no reason it won't run 1.21. Activation is easy enough
Vanitas
Well, the weirdest things have happened to my pc. First, I bought and installed patch 1.21. While installing I got some error readings which I Ignored. After a few try's I managed to fire up the game. Then, installing the modules, my pc went on the bend... I get the impression it's a matter of my new videocard which has some troubles adjusting to some old settings. I don't know what to do anymore. Well, it was 'an old game' and once I had much fun with it.
Vanitas
I managed to fire it up! In installing module marines, it went fine although some scenario's of the base game have disappeared? Only problem I have now is that I don't find the licence keys of the brits and nato module. Is there someway I can retrieve them?
Pete Wenman
If you log in to your BF store account the key details should be there. P
Schrullenhaft
If you had the modules, then purchasing the 1.21 patch was unnecessary. Once you install one of the modules, you can now use any of the Battlefront patches (including 1.21). As others mentioned, you can find your license keys in your Battlefront Store account IF you purchased a download ('download only' or 'download + mail delivery'). Purchases that were 'mail delivery only' will have the license key printed on a sticker that was attached to either the manual (if there was one) or the original disc case. Here are the steps for reinstalling CMSF. If you don't use this order then you may be missing textures or modules may disappear, etc.
Vanitas
Thanks for the help. Well, consider the one dollar as a donation to BF!
