  1. Okay - you've made me lose my mind! You can get them at Airfix.com!! Good Lord - there's tons of them!
  2. I liked to soak some dirt with gas, put the useless or messed up guys on it, then drop a match - BOOM, naplam!! I wonder if these figures are still for sale? Uh Oh, second childhood rearing it's ugly head!
  3. Oh MAN! I loved those kits - they were available in America too - I had several of them, now sadly gone!
  4. Let's all try and be patient. I always hear that games are released too quickly and they are really beta's and the public does the real testing! Now Hubert is taking his time to produce quality and some complain about that! You can't have it both ways! We are all impatient, but personally I'd rather he take whatever time is needed to do it right than release something that would disapoint us all. I'm trying out some new ideas with SC1 and having fun with it- maybe we should try that??
  5. Actually Patton had a real love for the French and was quite indulgent when dealing with them, tho he didn't seem to particularly respect the fighting abilities of the Free French. Look at how Monty thought of the US Army, yet was in command of a lot of US troops in North West Europe. I like the idea however, it would help out the Allies, and there should be some way to put troops under control of other nation's HQ's for the allies since they did that quite regularly.
  6. Good point! If you really wanted to complicate things - and I know SC isn't about that - you could also rate them for other abilities like - set piece battle leader vs. manuver - Rommel would do better in a battle of movement, Monty in set piece, etc. Best to keep it simple right? KISS is my motto!
  7. John,They did stop in New Zealand, but either way it's a long way. Look at how far troops were moved for the invasion of Okinawa - from Guadalcanal, Guam, and I believe some even came from Pearl Harbor! Distance limits aren't good - but clearly many of the others discussed here will be as right now it's just too easy. It's going to be sooooo fun to check all this out when we finally get our hands on SC2 isn't it>
  8. Hubert Don't apologize - we all want to see the game but your willingness to do the hard work necessary to produce a quality product deserves only praise! That goes for your playtesters (lucky dogs!!) and everyone else associated with the game! Keep working - we can wait - tho we'll probably complain every now and then. As they used to say about the Marines in WW2 - when they stopped griping then you KNEW you had a morale problem! So as you can see we are all happy campers here!!
  9. Hubert, That's very interesting and should make a big change to the game. I've seen the computer Op move units a lot and sometimes in situations where they probably wouldn't have been able too. If a unit is cut off - surrounded by enemy territory and units, can it still Op Move in SC2? I don't think it ought to be able to - be interested in knowing how things are shaping up at this point.
  10. Hey Thanks! AFter about 10 minutes of nearly losing my mind trying to figure out how to move the units I finally got that straight - the rest seems pretty straight forward. Very interesting and different from the hex based games I'm used too.
  11. Personally I'd rather do without the pop up pictures. After a few games they get redundant and boring and just kind of slow things down - at least IMHO!
  12. Excellent! Just read through the FAQ page and was so imspired I registered just to tell you how much I appreciated the update and info! I love SC and am very much looking forward to SC2!
