  1. This has been happening with me for about a month now. I just tell AVG to ignore it and move on.
  2. It worked perfectly - I should have check on that first I guess. Thanks!
  3. I haven't heard back on that Hebert, thanks, I'll double check.
  4. I'm in the tournament and I can't get the saved game file to load. Neither can one of my opponents. I've read over the manual, and seem to be doing everything right, yet when I try and load a saved turn from one of my opponents it reads "file error" and will not load. It's in the proper directory, can anyone who's done this before suggest anything? This is my first experience with an e-mail game, and so far it's not good!! Help a brother out!
  5. I just signed up on the new one, hopefully I didn't do that twice since I'm not sure if I originally signed up on the old or new one. I'm confused and haven't even come under fire yet!! Not good.
  6. Okay - I'm in, an easy victory for someone that's for sure!!
  7. In my last game and my current one, Germany didn't keep it's pact with Russia and took all of Poland. I am informed that Stalin is really angry about this, but don't see anything happening. Shouldn't there be a large increase in Russian production as surely in this situation Stalin would have rushed war preparations?
  8. I just finished playing Cambrai as the Brits, it was a lot of fun. I got a tactical victory and it reminded me a lot of the old SPI game of the same battle. Back and forth, very tight up to the last turn. More like this would be a nice break from the campaigns.
  9. Ulver, Did you manually move all your troops East, or is there a setting that starts the game with them deployed there that I've missed?
  10. I figured out the swapping thing, but can't seem to find out how to force march. As the German you need that to get everyone from Poland to France in time in 1940, unless you want to go broke! Can you force march in the WW2 scenario, and if so how?
  11. Speaking of HQ's - has anyone seen the AI using them as advanced units - driving forward, taking empty towns, etc.? It's been doing a lot of that in the game I'm playing now. I'm the Allies against the Germans in the 1939 scenario - and those HQ's have taken quite a few empty towns and cut off units too. Doesn't seem quite right, and I never noticed this in former versions of SC either.
  12. Classic! When I saw that first screen shot I thought your Panzers were too far back, but the way you handled them was beautiful. You have Moscow and your Panzers are still ready to rumble if needed. Awesome!
  13. Well if this works like the games themselves have, it'll be made available soon. I'm leaving the country Sunday for 10 days. The last two games were released while I was gone, so I'm betting this add on will be too!!
  14. So how do you deal with this? Garrisons? There are a lot more towns on this map, so is that even an option for the German player? I don't seen any in his pictures, so I'm wondering.
  15. Hey Hubert, Glad to see you are doing it right. And considering the fact that it's free, I think we can all afford to wait a while!
  16. Excellent! Thanks for the AAR and the pointers in it. I'm in 1917 as the German against the AI. Things are going well, but that isn't stopping my morale from crumbling. I've also got lots of Marxists in my army. Maybe I shouldn't have send Lenin to Russia??? Well I'm at the gates of Paris, Russia is out of the war, so onward!!
  17. I can see why you'd want to be in good supply, but don't quite get being only on friendly territory. In other words, if I as the German force march my troops, they start in Germany, can they force march across the parts of France of Belgium that I control? Is that considered friendly territory? If so, then it makes perfect sense, no force marching in exploitation situations.
  18. Okay, just read the strategy guide, and it recommends exactly what you are doing. So I started a game against the AI to see how it works out. So far as the German player I'm doing much better in advancing through the low countries into France. I'm looking forward to seeing how well you do here, and how well I do too! Thanks for the AAR!
  19. I'm surprised and confused that you haven't taken Antwerp, and have left Ostend and Ypres in Belgian hands (if I'm reading the map right). Is there a reason for this? I always take them, but I never get as far into France as you have either. Hmmm - am I blowing it by taking these places? Are you planning on taking them later? Could they be used to land Allied troops in your rear? I'm just full of questions aren't I?
  20. It sounds great guys! I'm in Southeast Asia for another 2 weeks, but am looking forward to loading it up and playing it once I'm home. I'm sure by then some excellent plans will be developed and, who knows, maybe a patch will be out!? Have fun!
