HarryB
Could you guys make it so the the point values of units show up in the scenario editor? It would help with seeing how balanced the forces are when you are purchasing units and make it easier to know if you were designing a scenario that was reasonably fair.
HarryB
Wanted to give this a bump. Is there any reason that point values should not be displayed in the editor?
LarsS
I believe it was intended for purchase and rarity points to be included both in QBs and in the editor. The manual (p. 129, e.g.) speaks of it in terms of the points being showed in the latter. So maybe we can hope for a patch in the future that updates the editor.
womble
While that's being done, might it be possible to find some screenspace for a brief summary of the characteristics of the item you're choosing? Both in the QB screen and the scenario editor? Just a list of weapons, max armour, personnel, like you used to get in CMx1. It's bizzarre that we have to have played with each of these units before we have a chance of being certain of the sort of equipment they will have, especially with the German numbers-only designations and the sheer variety of variations available to choose from. Oh, and scroll bars, for pity's sake. Please? It's not like they're hard; it's the sort of thing teenage comp sci students get asked to code. And there has to be a library you can buy so as not to waste Charles' time. And that library probably includes some basic text editing functionality for your text entry boxes for game save names, unit renames etc.
JSB
If I had just ONE thing to request... It would REALLY HELP to be able to rotate tiles (road, buildings, walls...) by using the keyboard ARROW KEYS. (for the moment, creating roads is a real killjoy...)

I reckon it would probably cut the time it takes to make a scenario in half.
Pak40
I was really hoping the CMx2 editor would be vector based instead of tiles. It would have made map making a piece of cake. It also would help make the maps look more realistic with regards to the way many European towns were built. Roads with odd angles and turns are handled much better with vector graphics than CM's tile based system.
xian
Is there a way to choose specific equipment for units? I set all my german squads headcount to 50%, and yet every squad still has its MG32.
