.btb files

I see I have a bunch of scenarios with the .btb suffix, but the game can't load them and usually crashes doing so. Renaming them to .btt doesn't seem to work.

Can these .btb scenarios be played, or should I just delete em?

I just double-checked, .btb is a 'baked' scenario. It loads like a regular scenario but the opponent has (theoretically) got all his waypoints plotted-out already. Its the closest you can come to hands-off AI vs AI gameplay. Its great fun for about 6-7 minutes play (like a mini-movie) til the AI runs out of order sets. The little test scenario I just whipped up played without crashing, but the feature is so little-utilized its impossible to know if its buggy or not. I know grizzled CMSF veterans who perhaps only tried it once five years ago and haven't touched it again.

Thanks for the heads-up. I tried to run three .btb scenarios but they all crashed the game to desktop. I wonder if they're incompatible with the latest patch.

Hope that it did not happen to you with "Defend Jsir Al Doreaa" ?

Did you copy the file in the scenario folder instead of the baked folder ?. It will not work if it is copied in the baked folder.

If mine still crashed are you having the Marines addons and the V 1.21 patch. I think it should work either with a previous patch.
