If the Sturmoviks attack, the Wespes start shooting at them and turn like crazy to get a line of fire on them, just like the Flak guns. Would someone confirm this. (Haven't tried the Hummels yet.) Fortunately I've got the save just prior to the condition. Unfortunately I was able to reproduce the condition consistantly. I will pm you the save file and report, if I can compress them enough, the fraps movie captures as well.
