Ryujin Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 As everyone has been trying to tell you, your artillery bug seems to just be an issue with loading 1.20 saves in 1.21. (for campaigns loading from the "auto" mission start save will work fine) GSX, 1.21 works fine and is well worth it, go ahead and upgrade after you've finished any inprogress 1.20 missions. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We make no guarantees that a save game file will behave correctly in a different version than the one it was started in. This seems to be an example of why we recommend this I will speak with Charles about re-instituting version checks and to prevent earlier saves loading in later versions. I don't remember why this was removed, but it looks like we should revisit that decision. Just remove the current EXEs, put in the old EXEs in place, and remove the current BRZs. Usually this works, though sometimes the Hotkeys file will need to be replaced too. To re-upgrade just reverse the process. If you take the precaution of saving the older EXEs then you don't need to go through the installers again.
