bowenw
I am waiting for the full game to be mailed to me so in the meantime I keep playing "what if " with the demo. Would appreciate it if one of you admirals would explain to me whats happening here. Early in the game I approach Guadacanal with a cruiser and a landing force. I move the cruiser first close to the island, spot nothing in all directions and then move the landing group next to the cruiser and close to the island. The allied turn two US cruisers come out of nowhere and destroy my landing group, turned off the FoW and there were no planes no troops nothing to do the spotting. Question how did they spot me, much to early in the game for long range spotting and intelligence spotting, are there coast watchers in this game? Thank you. Timskorn
If you are within 2 tiles of an enemy controller city or port, they can see you.
Bill101
The USA starts with intelligence level 1, so it's actually never too early for such a report!
Hubert Cater
Timskorn, just a correction as I believe that cities and ports for the Pacific release only have a spotting range of 1.
