Big Al
Russian Mechanized were actually just that. They had a correct balance of motorized, tanks, and infantry that made it effective. They also had the most equipment and the best, like the SS divisions. The Germans found out early in the war that an all tank division was simply not effective. It easily got killed by AT guns and proper defenses. They needed more infantry to support it. The Russian Mech was pretty much that. It was the most powerful unit the Russians had. The China thing is a bug in the program. And yes the US does have an industrial center on the west coast. The AI simply doesnt build there. John DiFool the 2nd
More of a semantic thing then than anything else (i.e. you can call them whatever you like). The real problem is that the AI doesn't build them, but that should be easily scripted. Nupremal, the latest edition of your scenario has the tag (on CMMods) that garrisons were removed because they "don't work". Al and I have discussed how we might need some weak (0 attack) garrison units for Germany, Japan, and the US-why exactly did yours not work-did the AI misuse them? Nupremal
The AI did misuse them and start moving them out of position and even attacked with one set at 0 attack. It just pissed me off so I decided it was not worth the hassle to shoehorn them into the game and chance the graphics, etc.
Nupremal
Oh and I wanted to set to 0 AP but then they can't leave at all - even by operational movement
