hoolaman Posted July 9, 2008 Share Posted July 9, 2008 Got a new card during the forum hiatus, an Albatron nVidia 9600GT with 512mb memory. Great card, the first time I have ever had anything approaching high end graphics, I've been playing oblivion with max everything and it is a real pleasure. It's a mid range card that I believe uses the same GPU as the 8800 series with a few features cut back to meet a price point. But performance is up there with the more expensive cards in the reviews I read, and although I don't have much to compare it to, I've seen nothing but smooth action with it. And I gotta say WOW! shock force looks amazing! I have everything on full and performance is flawless. I can certainly recommend this GPU for the game. The rest of my system is not cutting edge by any means. kipanderson Posted July 9, 2008 Share Posted July 9, 2008 Hi, I too am thinking of a new system… Will try to wait to let laptops advance a little so as to make them near to CM future proof… Always interesting to know though which systems and cards are particularly CM friendly as it is the only PC game I play.
