New Scenario: Hornets Nest

Recommended Posts

A small Cav Recon unit goes looking for enemy forces and finds trouble.

This is my very first scenario ever for any CM Game so try to be nice smile.gif

This battle may look familiar as it was included in a bundle pack.

But I wanted to release it seperately so I can get feedback.

1.04 makes me wanna cry. So I have deployed infantry and strykers across the entire map front pointing towards the compound - not a single one of them would fire into it. They all went into the retarded loop of aiming/spotting, not firing. Not only that, but several units were taking fire and could not return fire to the exact unit that had spotted them. Absolute nonsense.

There goes my five minutes of CMSF for the day. It was fun.

Hah! That was more challenging than I first thought!

First try on Veteran gave me an US minor victory, with bitter losses for the US.

Tried it again for a total US victory.

I was surprised how interesting the comparatively simple setup was!

Best regards,

Thomm

PS: molotov_billy, is it possible that your recon vehicles had to button up due to incoming fire? Because then they cannot fire their own HMG. Annoying, but not a bug!

:D

Thanx for the review(s)

if you got a minor victory

then a total victory

do you think i need to make it harder for the US ?

I really am not that good at CMSF

and I was able to win victories

so thats why I want some feedback

as I think I can make it even more challenging

Well, I would leave the setup as it is, but perhaps penalize blue losses a little bit more. I was surprised to win a minor victory on the first try, because I suffered losses that I considered too heavy for a minor victory.

Furthermore, removing one of the 82 mm mortar batteries would perhaps improve the scenario further.

Some troops with demo charges could balance this change.

Best regards,

Thomm
