Omenowl
I guess the usual. Did you update your motherboard bios? Are your drivers the most up to date? I have a dual core and it has never locked up on me. When I worked at dell I found some of the most amazing fixes by updating the motherboard bios, which was never stated in the read me.
Sgt Joch
I was never able to run with two cores with 1.03 and before, I would get overlapping voices, CTD's, lockups, but with 1.04, there is no issue. I have a Dual Core 2 6750. Did you update all the drivers? I also installed the power management hotfix which is referred to in the troubleshooting thread, have you tried that?

Omenowl
Make sure your powersupply is large enough also. You might need an 800 watt power supply with what you have. A lot of random lockups are caused by an insufficient power supply.
redbear
the power supply is ok is an 800 watts the is a bug still there. pcpilot
No luck with google. My searches for power management come up with all kinds of hits. Anyone have a link to this utility? Or maybe its proper name for searching again? Thanks...
