What I'm referring to is the actual look of the horizon -like in CMAK where the default horizon is mountainous and there has been released several mods with flattened horizons. Remember that this is a a game that his roots comes from a fly simulator it is different from CM. In CM you generated or take the map and they put a picture of the background because they are not interested to generate something outside that map. but tow was from a simulator there they have to generated a big map for the planes to fly in In IL2 if for some reason you go outside of the borders of the map the game will generated a map using generic texture, the same is done in TOW try to see out side of the map and you will see the the tress are different from the ones inside the map and are all the same.
