Tankbuster Posted April 22, 2007 Share Posted April 22, 2007 What I would be interested to know is exactly how many people beat it and what tactics (other than duck for cover in a trench and get slaughtered) they used. Stoppelhopser Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 I won it after about ten tries. Placed the AT guns to the extreme right rear of the area. Targeted only the Pz IIIs. When the second wave came I beat them too but more because I was lucky as you have no time to do some smart positioning of the guns. I was not satisfied though. It felt gamey and not as a tactical achievement but rather as a shootout with a high luck factor. Have no intention to ever try that mission again. Thomm Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 Unfortunately, it seems to be a matter of luck ... I also came close once with the 'guns at right rear' approach. I immobilized one Panzer III and caused a catastropic kill on the other. But the immobilized one shot up my guns! Did anybody come up with a systematic way to win this mission?
