ChrisND
I have made a blank 3-D units bitmap with a grid that clearly outlines the borders for sprites; it is available at cmmods.com. This makes placing units, much, MUCH easier and faster, and also allows you to place identicals in exactly the same spot on each sprite space. Please note: The right and bottom lines adjoining each square are a part of that square, so once you have placed your sprites, you need to delete the grid. This is easily done with the paint bucket. Also, you can quickly copy/paste this gridline into any existing 3d unit bitmap. Also included is an example 3d unit file with gridline, and both bmps are saved in 256 color format.
