-E
...remember when they were just a number? Now they're a big red sore spot that cries "You have to write letters tonight!" (technically, they'd probably have to be emails, as the next of kin are probably pixels too).
zwobot
Does the player have to take special care about casualties? I play at Elite difficulty mode, the manual says buddy aid takes a while in Elite mode. But it doesn't say what the player has to do about casualties.
Berlichtingen
Don't leave them. If you take off and leave them, nothing happens. If you hold in place you'll see one of the squad members switch to medic
Salkin
I LOVE the 1:1 representation, and the animations are really cool too ! By the way, is there a point deduction for leaving wounded behind ? //Salkin
Elmar Bijlsma
I find that 1:1 representation has indeed made me more careful about suffering casualties.
Huntarr
Could we get an official BF chime in here? I want to know some more about the mechanics of causalties. If your medic treats one does that effect your killed or wounded? Score? Is the medic able to get anyone back into the fight? Make a severe wound minor?
Huntarr
Sorry for the bump It was buried 6 pages in. Anyone have any idea about the medic mechanics? Does it reduce wounds? Scoring? Anything but take 2 men out of the fight?
Elmar Bijlsma
Medics prevent some WIA getting KIA-ed. Thus it's especially important in the campaign. Also, KIAs are bad for your score. It will not get a wounded man back into action in that battle though.
Lawndart
I've had one person come up missing in the fist mission of the campaign... My assumption was that I left him behind since I was running out of time and needed to secure the objectives.
aka_tom_w
If the man is a yellow circle he is wounded and can likely move along slowly. If he is red circle he's dead. SO I think all yellow circle wounded can move, so if the rest of the guys move SLOWLY enough, he should not be left behind. SO.. if you have a unit with a bunch of guys with yellow bases chances are they can move slowly so get them out of the line of fire and save what's left of the unit, or if you can send a fresh unit in their place. the only guys you need to worry about are WIA with the yellow, base because you want to do what you can to prevent them from becoming Red base KIA's I think.

That is not accurate as far as I can tell Yellow circles are lightly wounded who can still move (slowly) and function Red circles mean either dead or badly wounded
