Doug Beman
I want to update my copy of Fighting Steel to the current version number, but it requires DX8. Has anybody installed it? Any issues/bugaboos to watch for? I'm running a P3 700, 128MB, Win98 2 Ed (v 4.10.2222a) Matrox G400, SBLive Value. TIA (esp to Schrullenhaft who will probably respond "first with the most") DjB
Pascal DI FOLCO
Hi, although I'm not Schrullenhaft (far from it ), I did install DX8 and didn't have experienced new problems with CM - I suppose that's your point ?
Pvt. Ryan
I don't think anyone has reported any problems with it. I believe the current version is DX 8a.
Schrullenhaft
As others have pointed out, CM should work fine with DirectX 8.0/8.0a. I don't know if you would want to try some newer Matrox drivers or not while you're at it (they may fix some problems or cause others). The latest is a BETA v. 6.71.11 for Win98SE (and there's some 6.51.012 non-BETA drivers listed just below it): Matrox G400 drivers
