TaoJah
The Axis builded a fort just west of Paris and when I ran over it (moved from one hex west of it to one hex east of it) it wasn't destroyed. I could then move another of my units in it and it still wasn't destroyed. IS this a bug or intentionally ?
hellraiser
bug - it was reported several times but it seems it resurfaces now and then - frankly I haven't encountered it at all in 1.
Hubert Cater
Ok, had a chance to take a look and what appears to have happened in this turn is that France was liberated prior to the overrunning of the German built fortifications (previously built in occupied France). So any remaining fortifications that are still under German control will not be destroyed when overrun since they are treated, now that France has been liberated, as original French fortifications. Based on further feedback I can change this behaviour if desired. Hubert
xwormwood
I experienced this in the east as well, and no country was liberated before, within, or after this turn (east "german" / polish border to russia) [ March 13, 2007, 08:14 AM: Message edited by: xwormwood ]
Hubert Cater
Could be a separate issue... if you ever see it again don't hesitate to send me a turn (where I can repeat the problem) and I'll take a look.
jon_j_rambo
I've seen it quite a bit on the Russian front. Not a big deal to me, seems rather realistic to have a small number of random forts being taken over by the attacker -Legend
