Craig Champagne
I've upgraded my video card from 64 to 128. My problem is that CMAK shows all white print as cyan . . . a light blue. Other white color print shows up as darker blue. Any suggestion as to how I might fix this? Thanks.
Larry Thorne
Check for new drivers? Those new drivers usually solve many things, or in some cases you have to look for olderones. Hopefully someone with better info helps you out if the problem is not slved. If new driver doesn´t help do DxDiag and see if everything is running smoothly? Good Luck -LT
Craig Champagne
Thanks, Larry. Maybe somebody who has a NVIDIA GE Force FX 5200 can tell me what the best drivers are for CMAK and CMBB. Thanks.
Redwolf
Even reinstalling the same drivers probably works. Start with the current official drivers, 66.93.
Craig Champagne
Redwolf: do these drivers that you recommend work well with CM? Thanks.
Redwolf
They do for me. But then I didn't ever have drivers that would not work for CM. NVidia drivers that is.
Craig Champagne
Thanks, Redwolf. I suppose that I should uninstall the current driver before installing the new driver, correct? If so, what is the best method to use to uninstall the current driver? I only ask because it has been about two years since I last did this.
Schrullenhaft
Yes, it is best to uninstall your current video driver before installing a new one, especially if there is quite a difference in the version numbers (NVidia and ATI). The reasoning for this is that some older files or registry settings should be removed so that they don't interfere with the new drivers (though that may be a rare issue). A quick way to uninstall most drivers is to go to the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs control panel and look for the 'nvidia driver' entry and uninstall that. If you want a potentially more thorough 'cleaning' you can download and install Driver Cleaner which should eliminate any vestiges of the previous video driver. You'll need to reboot once you've finished uninstalling the driver (though you'll want to have downloaded the new video driver before doing this). If Windows prompts you for a video driver when you boot up, cancel that operation and then run the installer. If you don't have an entry for the 'nvidia driver' in your Add/Remove Programs list, then you'll need to remove your driver from the System control panel > Hardware tab > Device Manager button and highlighting the videocard under the 'Display adapters' section and clicking on the 'uninstall' button (computer icon with red X over it). I'm not sure if the latest or even beta drivers fix this particular issue. The cyan/blue text in CM is a problem that seems to occur strictly with the FX 5200's (other FX cards don't show this problem).

Craig Champagne
I'm very pleased to announce that the drivers recommended by Redwolf and the method for installing them recommended by Schrullenhaft both work very well with CMBB and CMAK. I'm very pleased with the results.
