michael
No RTFM option here. They're not even mentioned in the manual. Question: Do roadblocks afford any a) concealment (LOS obstruction) cover My experience with these things tells me "no", but I'd love to hear from someone else. Shipmonkey25
If I recall from a previous thread, they do provide a little of both.

Redwolf
They can't, no placeable units do, including bunkers and pillboxes.

Chad Harrison
reality: yes CM: no how many of us when we first started to play CM put a zook/schreck or squad on them seeking better cover only to have them get shot up instantly?

Viceroy
Michael, thanks for asking that question. I've been playing CM for over a year and I'd never noticed that. No wonder I still lose to the AI sometimes [ 12-01-2001: Message edited by: Viceroy ]</p>
michael
Thanks for the thanks, Viceroy. It recently came very much to notice in some of the DDay scenarios, when, as the allied player, ANY cover will do. Question to redwolf's answer >They can't, no placeable units do, including bunkers and pillboxes. Does this mean that no combat UNIT interferes with LOS. Eg Am I being a fool for getting behind that King Tiger?

Your KT commander would for sure look a bit puzzled if a Panzerschreck kills it from behind because the Major said he want the arty spotter behind it protected
michael
T(h)anks, redwolf. I've played some custom e:mail games where there's been so much Allied air that using KTs as shields for FOOs is about all they're good for. (Aside from giving Hurricane pilots something to fill their reticules).
