Javaslinger
Just got CM. Anyway, I'm a mod nut... Do the mods in CM just make the game prettier or do they add features or tweak things? Which ones do I need? The CMMOS... I know it's a mod manager and I know where to get the 5 files for it. Are those files just the manager, or do they include like the more popular mods? Gimme some mod knowlege guys if you can.... Thanks, Ken
Javaslinger
Also, the Mad Dog Mod Packs... Can you use them and the CMMOS mods?
CombinedArms
Mods don't affect game play at all--they simply affect appearance. This is, of course, necessary, since human players might be exchanging files while using different mods. So, mod away, but it won't affect the actual action. Wally's World
Javaslinger: I virtually changed every graphic and sound in my game. The graphics and sounds that came with the game were excellent to begin with and the mods created by all these great modmakers were just 'icing on the cake'. I don't think it's a question of what you need but a question of personal taste. Downloaded some mods, try them out and if you like them, keep them. If not, try others. I think everybody here has spent hours and hours downloading different mods. I personally don't use CMMOS so I cannot comment on it. Michael Emrys
It might not be a bad idea to duplicate all your bmp files and stick them in a folder somewhere. Do the same thing with your modded bmps. This way, if you convert to something and decide you don't like it, you can always swap back to one you like. mchlstrt
CMMOS is just the Mgr, & you have to use Mods that are CMMOS compatible, which includes Batch File things like Marco's Shermans (see "Firefly' Thread). It's also a Win Thang, so if you're using a real Computer (that would be a Mac) you're sadly out of luck. Strt
