I think we are all getting a little punchy with anticipation of the CMBB release. Here's another wish list request in the "what I'd like to see category."

What about the MP44 that was fitted with a curved barrel adaptor to shoot around corners?

Wouldnt it be great to have squads of Infantry 44 or 45 hiding behind buildings mowing down squads of advancing Russian Shock Infantry.

By the way the US Army Ordnance Museum in Maryland has one on display. Interesting adaptation based on German experience fighting in urban conditions. :cool:

I doubt they where ever really used, for starters you could only shoot around a left or right handed corner depending on what way the barrel was bent

The barrel tended to wear out very quickly for obvious reasons

As I understand it, it was a neat idea, but it was not really useable. The bullets tended to punch through the barrel rather quickly, and aiming was a bit problematic.

IIRC It was devised to brush infantry off of AFV's using the flare/mortar port in the turret roof for access.

I am surprised that a FPS game hasnt had that implemented yet, like Day of Defeat or sumfink.
