Panzer Leader
Is that a tellermine? It doesn't seem to look like one. Thanks, sorry if I'm repeating but with the page turning over once per hour it's hard to keep up. Love the game, yadda...

Panzer Leader
OK, checked the second link and it had this to say: It was introduced into service in May of 1943 but proved rather impractical. Still, 203,800 were produced in 1943. Yelnia takes place in 1941!!! Please, if I am missing something, explain to me like I am a kindergartener. von Lucke
Calling it a panzerwurfmine is just a matter of standardization, as the Germans had a s**t-load of hand-held AT grenades in various flavors. In 1941 the SS research shop came up with something called the panzerhandgranate 41 which was similar to (but with a smaller shaped-charge) than the panzerwurfmine --- which was, indeed, issued in 1943 (and invented by the Luftwaffe, by the way). BeauCoupDinkyDau
I saw russky tank hunter teams throwing these at my Pz III's. They took out one of them with the little bastards. I've known of their real world existance, but was suprised to see them in the game. Very cool. Did the Russians use captured versions of this AT grenade against Axis armor? WWB
I snapped a picture of a panzerwerfermine when I was up at Ft. Knox. It can be found here. WWB
Carl Deppen
I couldn't get the above link to the picture to work, the site is down. But I found a pic at a private site of a person who visited the Patton museum: http://www.ssbauer.com/scott/pics/patton/full/at_weap.jpg I'm very interested in this device after my tank hunters use it to take out a KV-2 with ease.
