I have tons of ideas but have to discard those who just can't be done graphically. I draw with paper and pen as good as my three year old daughter so the only way I can make comics is this way. So it's just about three things: 1) A good idea (or even mediocre ideas like mine are). 2) Some screenshots. 3) Putting it all together with Photoshop (or any other software for that matter, I use Photoshop because I can't use anything else and won't bother to learn something new). I like the landscape layout because you can fit the whole story on one page. The portrait layout usually means that you have to scroll it down. That's about it, really.
