Appleby
Is there a modling solution to allow the tank rollers to move? (Since tracks move why can't the wheels)? Is it impossible?
Michael Dorosh
There is no solution - the game code is set up to move the tracks (when viewed from the front or back) but the roadwheels are hard-coded (meaning they will never turn). The 3D model is actually just a flat space where a picture of the wheels and suspension are superimposed.

stikkypixie
But then the wheels would turn when the vehicle is not moving.

PseudoSimonds
Stare intently at the wheels and then roll your eyes quickly, like this guy ->
MikeyD
"- if Panzer Commander can do it...." Most other shooter-style games have three or four tank types - tops. I suspect individually-crafted rotating roadwheels would cut the number of vehicle types in CMx2 from 300-ish to... three or four - tops.

Is that because of the game, or because of the time demands on the developers to make the 3d models. How many vehicle mods do you have installed in OP Flashpoint? And do all their wheels turn??
Webs
It's not hard to do from scratch when you build the 3-D model. Once that's done, you can map the skin template to whatever parts you want. It takes a bit more time, but not that much more time, and it has to be done individually for each model. I assume CM2 will have a heck of a lot more polys to play with than CM1, too.
