Soddball
They seem to be fairly thin on the ground. I've been through CMMods, hoovering up everything I can find, but there aren't any Panthers and only one model of Panzer IV and StuG. Does anyone know where I should look to winterise my entire German army? The ones I've got look awesome, BTW.
MikeyD
Most CMBB German late war winter mods should work in CMAK too (don't use the early grey basecoat stuff), with a few exceptions like the JpgIV, Hetzer, and that light tank... whats-its-name... Lynx, I believe. There is a fairly new snowy CMAK Hetzer winter mod under MikeyD, still in the 'Newest Mods' list. And my recent CMBB grey-basecoat whitewash StugF/8 works in CMAK too. MikeyD's winter Hetzer
junk2drive
I've had good luck renumbering BO and BB mods. A pink here and there or a messed up small area on some but ok with me. I can post a list later today. alexoscar made some nice cmak ones. You could convince yourself that CMAK in Italy has no snow except in the mountains where you can't have armor.
MikeyD
Yeh, but everybody and his brother these days wants to refight old CMBO Bulge battles using CMAK. From the postings on the board it sounds like people prefer grey wintery northern Europe to the sunny coasts of the Med.!
junk2drive
Or a snowy Soviet captured Panther to use as a Chinese T-34
David I
I had very good success in using the ones in CMMOD's CMBB listing. All the late war tanks worked just fine. An due to the thoughtfullness of BFC you don't have to worry about downloading a winterized King Tiger. So see, you,re already one down. junk2drive
I will have to post the list of BB to AK and Grau BB to Late AK from my adventures into sealion and 1940 france. With winter numbers too.
junk2drive
At TPG I have posted my notes for Sealion and Greece. It is in the FAQ/Tools dropdown menu under Research. Titled How To: Grau in CMAK Keep in mind I may make mistakes. Some of the 3D wireframes are different between BB and AK and the result may not please you. Back up your files and have a plan first.
37mm
Just to confirm... are people absolutely sure that (apart from the Lynx, Jadpanther & Hetzer) all CMBB & CMAK German winter mods are interchangeable? Does this include half tracks, kublewagons?
junk2drive
No they are not. That is why I made the lists.
