MikeyD
From Moon: "2005 and not a day later " Considering how quickly 2004 has been goin' that ain't all that far off (any of you packing up for college yet?). If I remember the original stated raison d'etre of the new engine it was to have a modular base so they could plug-n-play a whole series of wargames in quick succession, as opposed to sweating over the game engine each time around like the first three versions of CM. Get a while line of products on the shelves! We old CM gamers may be spoiled. There ain't that many theaters of operation on the scale of CMBB or CMAK left for them to tackle. Perhaps we'll find smaller-scope games coming out of the new engine, but more of them. A Fulda Gap circa 1960 game would maybe be the max allowable size, As would a Blitz into Poland/France game. Would the guys think a Spanish Civil War game of too limited scope? You'd at least get a few Italian tankettes, PzIs, and BT fast tanks to play with. Eh, I'm just speculating. We'll probably all be surprised to find Doom-style monsters populating the new game emgine landscape!
