GreenAsJade Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I came across the appended info (sorry about the bad layout - it was in excel) in Band of Brothers web site (edit to explain the numbers). With a few more games of each scenario, this will start to be really useful information. Funny that Fru. is the most balanced so far (I seem to remember it getting some flak in the early days). GaJ. These are columns: you read each line across to find out </font>the scenario name, the number of times it was played,</font>scenario name</font>number of times played</font>average axis score</font>highest axis score</font>who got the high scorea</font>average allied score</font>highest allied score</font>who got that high score</font> <code> Name Games "Axis Avg" High By "Allied Avg" High By A Few Boys From Texas 4 19 31 Spin Doctor 81 89 mPisi Forgotten Outpost 2 28 48 Bill Millet 72 92 roadtogundagai Ambush 3 29 46 Sgt Swanson 71 83 Seany B Blenheim Blunder 5 30 38 Schwimmfuss 70 80 Deerslayer Brits at Anzio 2 31 36 PinchyII 69 74 Nelson Road to Wiltz 2 35 54 Nego 65 84 roadtogundagai 2 Pounders and Tigers 2 40 45 Amanuensis 60 65 bigmac644 Assault on Perano 2 47 64 savage72 54 71 GreyWarrior Fruhlingswind 3 49 68 Kong 51 63 PinchyII Gathering before the Storm 2 57 58 Nego 44 45 Qutall Po Valley 3 58 80 Sgt Swanson 42 69 MichaelU Counterattack at Petrano 2 60 81 Marc S 41 62 atiff Line of Defense 2 60 88 mPisi 40 68 bigmac644 Meet Me At Medjez 2 61 94 Cbieling 39 72 mPisi Ariete - The Ram 2 62 73 Roberto Tomba 38 49 Seany B Knifefight at Cecina 5 63 91 Bill Millet 37 60 mPisi Petrarcholi Ridge 3 64 67 PinchyII 36 41 bitterboy101 Spaghetti Western 3 66 86 Bill Millet 34 67 Deerslayer Mishmish 3 69 76 Schwimmfuss 31 35 Nego Valley of Trouble 2 73 95 savage72 28 50 savage72 </code> [ December 13, 2004, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: GreenAsJade ] 0 Quote

Dandelion Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Jade I really don't understand a thing here. All those numbers...what does it all mean? Cheeri Dandelion 0 Quote
General Bolt Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Got to admit I'm just a little bit confused. -Pink Floyd I think a table format and some column headings would help alot. 0 Quote
David I Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 This graph represents 37% of the people. This graph here represents 74% of the people. And this graph represents 21% of the people. Telling figures indeed! DavidI 0 Quote
mPisi Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Read each line across. 8 columns. 1. Scenario name 2. Number of games played (samples) 3. Axis average score 4. Axis high score 5. Player with Axis high score 6. Allies average score 7. Allies high score 8. Player with Allies high score I forget who did this in our BoB club, but ISTR that he started with the CMBB games, which had more data points. 0 Quote
GreenAsJade Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 mPSI has it right. If you cut that lot and paste in excel you get the table back. If you tell me how to post a table here I'll tidy it up. There are 500 data point over 100 games in the CMBB data - see my post in Scenario Talk. They really do help you if you are looking for a balanced scenario. There are now something like this many CMAK games in the BoB register, so I'm looking to get those processed as well. GaJ. 0 Quote
rune Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 [spoilers] * * * * * * * * What I find amusing, is brits at Anzio, when first released I had complaints that without the tanks sticking to roads due to Mud, the Germans had too much of an advantage. Here, the Germans are the underdogs. Just proves that the skill of the players can change the results. Fruhlingswind on the CD differs from the demo version. The demo was restricted to size and number of units, the one on the CD was the original version. Glad to see it is balanced and enjoyable. Rune 0 Quote
jwxspoon Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 hehe Rune is not used to people saying his scenarios are Balanced and Enjoyable. jw 0 Quote
roqf77 Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 dunno i found brits at anzio much easier than fru infact i cant do fru i find it much harder than playing say blenheim blunder. if that is any help, i think it also differs to people's style of play. 0 Quote
