When a Bren carrier takes a casualty, is there a random selection made within CMAK as to whether the driver or the Bren gunner takes the hit?

A carrier (or, likewise, a halftrack) is so vulnerable without mobility that it just makes survival sense for the gunner to jump into the driver's seat.

I understand "shocked" to cover the time of this transition. When the vehicle takes a hit but is not "shocked," that's the gunner getting it.
