Tank Ace
Is the intro music in CMAK demo a BFC creation? If it is it kicks arse.
Michael Emrys
I must say whatever it is, it's MUCH better than anything they've used before. I am inclined to let this one play through whereas before I would always click to get straight to the game. Michael
Madmatt
You lika da music eh? The music good? Yes? I bring you more music! Madmatt p.s. We went round and round for weeks trying to find a good piece of music (ask Rune about what he wanted!) and out of the blue Charles offered up what we ended up using. No one knows where he got it (How does a bodiless brain go anywhere?) and he never told us.
Willard
the music used in Strategic Command has been used for AFN (Armed Forces Network) tv commercials. my wife and i heard it on tv once and she asked me why the tv was playing music from one of my games!!!!
Quintusarrius
I suspect I shall be hunting out the old AK mods for CMBO and seeing if I can change the intro tune to 'Lili Marlaine'. Not that the intro that's there is bad... it's just if there was a song to conjure up the desert war, that'd be it.
Sergei
I would have preferred bagpipes... would have fit better with the splashscreen. Well, something for modders.
rune
Yep, that is what I had, Marlene Dietrich singing lili marlene. I have it here but it isn't a wav file, will have to see what it is. Rune
Paddington
If I remember right it sounds pretty much like "steel panthers 2"
Little_Black_Devil
Yeah, I was kinda disapointed not to hear 'Lili Marlaine', but still impressed with...whatever track you guys opted to use. Still though....for me - there is just something about 'Lili Marlaine' and WWII North Africa.
General Bolt
I was hoping for Pink Floyd's "Us and Them".
Baron von Beergut
Yea, Lili Marlene would've been most fitting. A friend found the Kelly's Heroes theme on the net, downloaded it and fixed it to run every time he starts up CMBB & CMBO.
Little_Black_Devil
Arrrggh! This morning, I just started re-reading John Bierman and Colin Smith's "The Battle of Alamein", where there is mention of the "one" song members of both the British 8th Army and the Afrika Korps enjoyed in common. Then, last night I was watching Herman Wouk's "War & Rememberance" series - and in particular, the scene where Alistair Tudsbury is killed in North Africa, and his daughter, Pamela - finishes his next broadcast, romanticly summing up the conflict in North Africa and AGAIN making mention to the "one" song. There just seems to be no escape from 'Lili Marlaine'. Perhaps this is an omen, indicating that Marlene Dietrich should be singing when I boot up my ~retail~ copy of CMAK?
